Staff were excellent!

Property is very old. Bed was not comfortable at all---mattress way too firm. Nice hot shower. Good location close to shopping. Awesome staff. Helpful in getting us a water taxi to airport but it was really expensive. Hotel needs updating in the rooms. They all are decorated differently with an "old" look, but bedding, mattresses, etc all need to be replaced.

Breakfast is excellent. Room was not always so well-maintained and floor with area rugs are not so properly cleaned or vacummed. Bed is satisfactory but we have slept on much more comfortable ones in other hotels. Bathroom vanity halogen lamp is burnt out during the last half of our stay but staff did not even notice it. Bathroom supplies are not maintained consistently. Staff is marginally hospitable and at times lacks customer tolerance. Room air conditioning is excellent.

Excellent location near St Marks Square. Great breakfast each morning. Hotel staff is so helpful with recommendations for food and transportation. Came from train station and we hired a private water taxi that dropped us off at the canal door of the hotel.

I really can't say too much about this hotel because I don't want it to be so popular. I can't get in it again , just kidding. It is a beautiful old hotel and when I say Old that's very pleasing. There are so many restaurants all around and the staff here are incredible. At night of course in Venice is extremely quiet, especially in this area. The hotel was a very short walk from the vaporetto dock and via the #1 vaporetto a short distance from the railway station. I stayed here three nights and only had one breakfast as it's just too much to do to sit although it was very good. The coffee is fantastic and the little bar adequate for a last-minute drink before calling it a night. Of course, if no one's there they close up early and that's OK, as here's so many bars or places to find a late night drink if that's necessary. The area of course is extremely safe no worries. Our room had an incredible view of one of the churches. I had absolutely no fears of any safety, although there is a room safe, but we didn't use it. This hotel is very close to shopping if you can afford it. This hotel is very close to Saint Marks Basilica, and the plaza. I highly suggest you buy vaporetto pass for the number of days that you're on the islands as it may be easier to jump on and jump off a ferry instead of walking the great distance you will want to travel to explore. Walking from the train station to the hotel I could, but it's much easier by vaporetto. You will fall in love with the hotel..

We awoke every morning to the smell of fresh baked croissants. The location was fantastic - a bit quieter but still central with easy access to Vaporetto and all major attractions. Staff are helpful breakfast was great. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was fresh. Personnel excellent. Excellent spot. The 1 person room was small and quite expensive

Beautiful and central location, 20 min walk from the train station and 10-15 min to most major sights. Very kind and helpful staff.

Charming little hotel, clean and very well preserved. Location is great, close enough of Piazza San Marco, but away from the mobs, close to Piazza Giglia and in front of a beautiful basilica you can admire while having breakfast. There is a stop for the vaporetto a couple of blocks from the hotel so that was also very convenient. Breakfast was delicious. Last but not least the staff was very friendly, kind, and accommodating.

We loved our room incredible view of the statue. At first I wanted to have a view of the river but then I saw the statue and completely changed my mind! We got off the public boat transportation and stopped at the Giglio stop and walked about 100 ft and the hotel was right there! So easy and saved us a lot not getting a private taxi. Front desk attendant, Tony was wonderful so many great recommendations! We loved our stay super convenient to everything and breakfast was great!

I had a wonderful time staying at the hotel. The staff were wonderful, always friendly and respond promptly to any questions you have before you go by email. It's also situated in a very convenient location which makes it easy to explore the whole of Venice.

Older, charming hotel in a great location. The bed was comfortable and the room super clean. Easy access to Vaporetto and about 7-10 minute walk to St. Mark’s square. Breakfast was also wonderful! I’d stay there again.

This was my third stay at Bel Sito e Berlino. Firstly the staff is as fine as any in Venice. They simply can't do enough to help, and always with a smile. The building is beautiful, it has a canal entrance for private taxis, and for public transport it is located at the S. Maria del Giglio ferry landing. Just a two minute walk to the hotel with no bridges to cross with heavy suite cases. The hotel has an incredible breakfast buffet in the morning, and a bar all day/ night til 11 pm. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but it is surrounded by excellent places to eat in all directions. Aprox five min walk to San Marco Plaza. Can't recommend this place enough, I will be staying here as long as I continue to visit Venice

Lovely hotel in a great location. A very short walk to the water bus stop to the airport and sights like St Marks and the Opera House. The rooms are traditionally Italian in style with Murano glass light fittings with stunning views of the church opposite. The staff were lovely and very helpful

it was a very cute hotel with a delicious breakfast included cute sitting area perfect location. The room was a bit small and it was definitely old school old world look nothing modern but beautiful.
