Really good

Small but clean single room. Good sized shower in the en suite bathroom. Fine for a couple of days. Open fireplace in the bar area was nice. 5 minutes' walk from the beach front.

Somewhat old fashioned with some charm.Not much varience with dinner,no specials on half the evenings.Breakfast all one price even for continental!Scrambled egg made ahead of time and not acceptable.Staff were consistently helpful and friendly but little outside information available.

No hot water for a day! Last year the lift was not working!

Spacious comfortable room with a wonderful sea view. Big shower room. Disappointing breakfast selection, maybe cost-cutting. Some restaurant staff good, some need more training. Nightmare parking. Unable to leave car park due to another guest parking inches from my driver’s door.

The room smelled strongly of bleach from the last cleaning. I didn't notice anything in the bed, but I found a bed bug trap under the bed and felt terribly uncomfortable. I couldn't sleep at all I should have asked for a room change immediately or even left this place.. Furthermore, the vegetarian breakfast I ate the next morning was disgusting and cheap! I will never return to this hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful setting overlooking Swanage. Lovely gardens. Spa was a real treat. As with everthing not cheap, the drinks could have been priced more competitively, but most hotels have high bar prices for some reason?

As expected from a first class hotel

Lovely hotel with good sized family room. Very clean and modern room. Convenient for the beach and short walk into Swanage town centre.

A very traditional hotel, with amazing views of the bay. Food options limited for vegetarians and vegans, but good breakfast menu. The hotel furnishings show some signs of wear, but its position with garden and steps down to the beach outweigh that. The afternoon tea looked great.

A fantastic family beak at The Grand Hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel the views are amazing, staff are fantastic extremely helpful. Sam was amazing couldn’t have been more helpful.

Location is beautiful and the hotel food is good. Prices are not outrageous. Access to the beach is simple . There's a gym, pool and sauna which are free for hotel guests. Staff are friendly and helpful but not always easy to find.

An excellent hotel, great facilities with fantastic view across the bay of Swanage. Car parking not easy and rather lengthy service for evening meal. Staff were delightful.

The service from the staff was exceptional. Fantastic view over the sea and Swanage. Delightful Victorian hotel.

Service was generally quite poor other than the lovely woman working at the pool and the young man working at the bar who were absolute gems. The staff was generally sluggish and gave bad recommendations and complained to us quite a lot. The room was definitely clean so the cleaning staff had done a stellar job. The room was good other than super noisy with people coming in and out of the staircase to the corridors so I wouldn’t stay here again as i was woken up every time so only slept a few hours. The pool area is nice but tiny, would be nice to be able to throw water on the sauna as you would in a normal sauna. Pool area agin was very clean so their cleaning staff must be really excellent. Was nice to be able to go from the sauna to the sea or to have a pint in between sauna sessions. Really though generally overpriced for what you get. The hotel could really just benefit from a bit of an internal facelift and from change of a lot of the staff and it would be a really special hotel.
