We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Garden Azores. This hotel is a conference centre style hotel, so during the day the 1st level can get busy and noisy. Our personal room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was decent with lots of standard choices for the island area, seemed under staffed at times as finding a clean ready table was a chore.
We were informed that a bathing cap was needed to be purchased (3 euro charge), to be able to use the swimmimg pool onsite, but we experienced several people using the pool without one.
The hotel garden, as of our stay, was not yet maintenaned and part of the hotel was still under renovation. Our room was renovated, but the craftmenship was spotty, especially for the nice finishes.
