Clean room and friendly staff. €20/day for breakfast for one guest staying on their own is outrageous. That being said, I would definitely stay again.

Great welcome and service. Immaculate room and newly designed. Nice vibe and great food and other options close by. 20mins to old city. Just 25mins walk from the station so really well located. Would happily stay again.

Room spotless, staff lovely

Arrived at 11am and were able to check in to the room - this was great! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Standard room for the price was a bit small; hotel had just switched from AC to heat and their system can only cool or heat not both.

Our room was very hot and the AC was turned off for the season. When we complained we got a quiet room off the street which was much better. Very responsive.

Everything was fine until someone enters our room at 8 am without even a knock and woke us up, which is startling for 2 women travelling alone. We put the « do not disturb » sign outside the door but still a staff assumed the room was empty. At the front desk, a quick « sorry, the person made a mistake » didn’t feel quite enough

Probably one of the better hotels in our Euro trip (and the first one we stayed in). Decent room with all necessary amenities. Overall happy with th location and the hotel itself.

A really lovely stay. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the staff we met were super friendly and welcoming. They all spoke very good English which was helpful as our French is a little rusty! The hotel downstairs is nicely decorated and in good condition. They had cold and sparkling water taps to refill bottles or grab a drink when you entered. The hotel offered parking ( although it is a small underground car park) at €18 euros which we were happy to pay as parking else where is expensive and their car park is secure. The room itself was nicely decorated and modern. The room size was adequate for our needs and they added another bed for our daughter ( 9years old) which was plenty big enough. Once in the room, the AC worked brilliantly and we were unable to hear noise from outside or other rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to try!

Wonderful stay overall! Friendly staff and great location. However, the A/C didn’t work that strongly and no bathroom ventilation fan made the room quite warm most of the time.

The hotel lists air conditioning as an amenity but quite simply the building's system does not cool the rooms, and the staff is aware of as much. This was quite disappointing since I specifically came here due to my own broken AC. In addition, there was no fridge in the room. Overall it's a place they slapped on new paint on and are a bit cheeky trying to call 4 stars. The receptionist was friendly

No cooling of hotel room due to weak AC during a heat wave was unfortunate. Tried to change rooms but staff said all rooms were warm and they offered a fan. I spoke to another guest and he said his room was cool.

Booked last minute, nice hotel, smaller rooms but very modern and AC, parking is very reasonable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Can walk to everything.

Hótel Le Roosevelt was a nice, clean hotel with a friendly staff. The room was fine and a good size for me as a single traveler. The toilet was in an awkward spot with part of a wall in the way, so one had to use it at a little angle. But easily managed. Overall, I rated it 5 stars except for the surrounding area which I rated 4 stars. To clarify, the area itself was fine, it just wasn't in a tourist area, such as Bellecour or Cordeleis. I would classify the area as local commercial, where residents would frequent rather than tourists. Which is itself not a bad thing, depending on how close you want to be to the tourist areas. There are plenty of restaurants and boulangeries in the area, as well as a grocery store one block way. It is, however, really easy to get to the tourist areas on the Metro. There are two Metro stops within a few blocks of the hotel. Using this line you can get to Cordeliers and Bellecour to visit, or transfer to another line to visit Vieux Lyon, Notre Dame and the Roman Theatre ancient ruins. The Metro lines run frequently, so you won't have to wait for more than 2-3 minutes.

Quiet street-quiet room in back overlooking the parking area. Nice breakfast served daily. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They know the city and can call taxis for you. Many good restaurants in the area and a great Lebanese restaurant about 200 feet away on same side of the street. Rooms have coffee/tea makings and a refrigerator. Beds are comfortable and A/C etc is intuitive and works. Supermarket is a block away and metro is about 4 blocks away. Lots to see and do. Be careful of pickpockets on crowded metro or trams. Lots of good cafes and restaurants in the city.
