There should be a window curtain in the bathroom to protect privacy.

Great location. Adequate room

.This place was just okay. The room itself was fine, but when we arrived the heating was on full and it was unbearably hot. The window only opens a tiny amount, so there was no way to cool it down properly. We asked for the heating to be turned off, and the staff member did do that, but the radiator still seemed to be on — just slightly less hot. Because of this, we couldn’t sleep. In the morning, there was nothing left for breakfast, so we had to go elsewhere. It also seemed like there was only one member of staff, as we didn’t see anyone else at all — just one poor guy trying to do everything

Staff were kind and helpful, and location is great. Room was perfectly serviceable for a night, although sloping roof meant it was impossible to stand in the bathtub. Stayed in early May and it was very hot and stuffy in the room, with only a tiny fan that didn't work very well - no aircon, but that's just how it goes with historic buildings, so can't really complain! Continental breakfast selection was small - if it was a paid extra it would be quite disappointing, but considering it was included in the price of the room then it was okay.

I booked a single room that was enough forward me. The carpeted areas on corridors and at least in my room need attention- there were visible stairs in various places. The bed was very comfortable, but the base was quite stained. Lovely big towel and a bath- but nowhere to hang the towel to dry as no healing/ towel rails. Warm room with tea and coffee provided with biscuits. Nice staff too. Breakfast was nice although coffee wasn't that great...

Friendly, welcoming staff, room had everything you would expect, clean and homely. Great location, central to cathedral and town centre.

Good location, friendly staff, bar area was nice but not much atmosphere, it was really quiet, we were the only family sitting in the bar area but that may have been down to the fact that it was a Sunday night. Rooms were bigger than expected which was nice! The parking was a bit of a pain as we arrived earlier around 11am. When we checked in we had to go back to the car park and pay for the hours we had already stayed, then we had to drive out and back in the car park to start the 24hr parking at the discounted rate with the hotel. This was just a little inconvenient but not the end of the world as it was only a short walk from the hotel. Overall we had a lovely stay and would stay again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay here at the Pilgrim hotel! Canterbuty itself is a must-see town if you are visiting in England and I would highly recommend this boutique hotel. It was charming and clean. Staff were nice and available when needed. Continental breakfast was very good! More options than most. I would absolutely stay here again and hope to be back. :)

Perfect location - walkable to every major attraction in Canterbury. It is an older building but it gives it charm! :) the continental breakfast was good. Overall, great stay and would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone.

Check in was difficult. No bar after 10.30.Was,accused of breaking a lamp after we had left. Reasonable breakfast.

Breakfast was very poor. Self service but at no stage in the 45 minutes I was in the breakfast room did any staff member come and refill the milk jug, the fruit juice jugs or anything else for that matter,. Simply stated, there were no staff attending to breakfast!

Very overpriced for a pokey & worn room & very cramped overall-could barely get in the bathroom. Staff friendly but under-resourced - ie at times no one on reception,breakfast room or at the bar. Breakfast perfunctory offering & no service.

Whilst location was good, very difficult to get heavy luggage from car to hotel. Bollards blocking every street nearby. No instructions from hotel to assist. Staff member unhelpful
