Very simple great location

This hotel was alright, nothing crazy. My friends and I shared a private, 3-bed room for one night. The sheets seemed to have hair on them, so not sure if they were actually cleaned. Our towels were not very good as they were very thin and didn’t dry well on top of having some stains. The bathroom door was also kind of see through, so just something to keep in mind if you’re sharing a room with friends, family, etc. Our AC started malfunctioning a bit right before bed. It kept turning off on its own even though we had our room card in the correct place. It eventually resolved itself. The luggage lockers were very convenient at €2 per spacious locker. I think there are better options out there, but it’s good in a pinch to stay here.

A clean and spacious room with nicely renovated facilities. Excellent location in the heart of the city with restaurants, shops and transport close by. 4-1/2 stars. Definitely recommend.

Excellent location for hopping on and off trains. Loads of excellent restaurants near by. Lovely bathroom and shower, a couple of extra hooks for towels in bathroom wouldnt go amiss. V comfy bed. Good aircon.

It was very convenient location. But it was very busy and loud street.

Facilities is okay, but No free luggage storage for early arrivals and strict check in time.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY... Don't be put off by the lobby, yes, it's a little creepy, but once you enter your room, the rooms are GREAT. The rooms are minimalist in style, very modern, with lots of light. Truly enjoyed my stay. So central to all of Madrid has to offer: bars, clubs, stores, restaurants, transportation, and safe. My ONLY wish is that the front desk staff would be a little more customer-friendly.

Pros: Location is central, quad room was spacious for family of 4, area felt relatively safe, price is fair. Cons: If you are a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. Street noise starts at midnight and ends at 4:30am, every day. Reception staff not friendly. Bathroom reeked of sewer.

The location is excellent. Although it is not a super quiet location, people are out walking and eating and drinking all night. Gets quiet about 6am. The hostal is clean and comfortable. It was a perfect stay.

Well-located, charming vintage hotel was practical, budget-friendly, and comfortable. Our utilitarian room was ready slightly early, which was helpful upon arrival in Madrid. However, we must remove a star for bathroom problems. The toilet tank did not always refill and therefore did not always flush. Also, a frosted glass door with gaps exposed to the room is NOT an adequate bathroom door in a small hotel room with three adults. Install real, closing, solid doors. Otherwise, the hotel itself had attractive accents in hallways and doorways, and was right in the heart of Centro district.
