Arrived at hotel to be told that they were closing early and couldn't honour our booking made in May for 6 nights. In fairness they appear to have sent an email in August which we didn't receive. So we had to find another hotel for part of our stay. It was towards the end of season which might be why the corridors were so dark (no light for us to see where to put the key in the door to our room!), the restaurant didn't seem open for dinner, the pool was filthy and breakfasts not great. Although they did provide fresh fruit when asked.
The manager/owner was aware of our feelings and made up for some of the problems by reducing the cost of the room, giving us free wifi and offering help with luggage to our next, infinitely better hotel.
