The Antico Doge is the perfect tucked away hotel for Venice, a beautiful building, with lovely features and staff that were amazing! They truly went above and beyond to help out with a minor New Years emergency, honestly cannot thank them enough for caring and going to extraordinary lengths to make sure we had the best New Years ever! Would definitely stay at the hotel again, perfect for that romantic getaway.

Breakfast was as promised and reasonable. The facility was clean. Didn't like the fact that we had to pick a time when to eat. No elevator at this facility but they do have a stair lift if you have a wheelchair. If you have a stroller with a sleeping child, you will have to carry them up. Our room was on the front, and our window was on the walkway so we could hear noises of those walking by on the street until late at night. Overall, very convenient location. Certainly, Venice is not handicap friendly.

Great location, staff very helpful and friendly, lovely older theme to the hotel, approx 20 mins walk to the train station which was great as travelled to Verona and Milan for the day, also all other attractions of Venice within 10 min walk, would stay here again if staying in Venice!

The room mess large snd spacious so was the bathroom with beautiful shower and windows. The room had a safe and mini fridge wand location was great lots of restaurants and cafes and shopping and walking distance to main attractions like St marks square doge palace and Rialto bridge. Staff were great, very helpful to provide information and answer questions and very accommodating and friendly. Beautiful ventican decor. Would come again.

In a great location for exploring Venice. Our canal view room was comfortable, quiet with period tasteful furnishing. Breakfast good. Only thing missing is a bar which would have been nice to come back to in the evening, fairly insignificant issue though. A great place to stay in Venice.

The room is nice and clean but very small with low ceiling. I think Thu’s is typical of hotel rooms in Venice. The front desk is nice and helpful. The breakfast is good with friendly staff. The hotel is located about 15 minute walk from water bus stop and 30 minute walk to the train station. Have a small carryon with good wheels. The ground is bumpy and there are steps up and down whenever you encounter a bridge. You don’t want to be pulling a large luggage and lifting it up and down the stairs. You can walk around main attractions from the hotel easily without luggage.

Staff approach to negative situations could be improved. No manager to mediate the situation during our stay so not resolved till after checkout. Room at the front level 1 was very noisy. Our booked room type wasn’t available, not informed before arrival although known to the hotel staff and the alternative room type downgraded the experience for us as a family squishing into a smaller room. Breakfast had to be by appointment slot the night before where we couldn’t have breakfast at our convenience. The hot food option was running out and not replenished during our slot. Very lacking for an anniversary visit following on 6 years from our honeymoon where it was excellent.

Everything was nice but this hotel is not accessible stairs and no life and wheel chair lift not working. No on duty bell boy except daytime. This information should be disclosed , if it had been I would have stayed somewhere else
