This was an overnight stay in London and I knew I was not going to be using the room for much more than basic needs! It was perfect!! The welcome was lovely and warm and the check-in efficient; the room was exactly what was needed and as described. There was a fridge - a bonus - as well as drink facilities, a superb bathroom and comfortable bed. No air-con but the fan worked well and I slept wonderfully. It was really quiet and a perfect location , around the corner from restaurants and cafés and only an 8 minute walk to the tube. I really can recommend this place for an excellent, basic hotel with superb links and great staff! Thank you!

A very basic hotel, but you get what you pay for. I stayed on the top floor with no lift, and the stairs become quite narrow, so I wouldn’t recommend bringing any large luggage. The room had a TV, kettle, mini fridge, tea/coffee, a small and loud (but very appreciated) fan, and complimentary shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom cabinet. The 24h front desk was a big plus for me, and I also appreciated being able to check in early. Nothing particularly stood out, but nothing disappointed me either. It was a simple stay that met my expectations for the price.

Great location for travel and tubes and bars and restaurants. As far as “cheaper” hotels go it was good. No air con and it was warm so a little uncomfortable. But not bad for the price

We stayed at this hotel as a base for attending a concert at the Royal Albert Hall and were very pleased with our choice. Once we got our bearings, it was easy to find from Paddington Underground Station and proved to be in a great location. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful throughout our stay. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was clean, comfortable, and excellent value for money. It had everything we needed for our short visit. The hotel is well-maintained, and all the areas we used were spotless. One thing to be aware of is that there is no lift, and our room was on the fourth floor, so there are quite a few stairs. This wasn't a problem for us, but it's worth considering if mobility is an issue. The location is another real plus. Hyde Park is only a short walk away, and the pleasant stroll through the park to the Royal Albert Hall made our evening even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would happily stay here again when visiting London.

Small room, but that is to be expected. Beds were comfortable. We found the room a little warm but thankfully a desk fan was available for use. We had a plumbing issue, but the staff acted immediately and the issue was resolved upon our return to the room later in the day. Great, quiet location.

Bed was spotless, bathroom was spotless, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. A very beautiful building, amenities was perfect for our overnight stay. Only thing was a few marks on the bedroom wall and could do with a paint, but other than that it was footless. Bed was very comfortable, would definitely stay here again.

Room was small but clean. Would have liked to have been able to open the window just a little bit to let some air into the room but the only choice was to have it open half way which we didn’t want to do as there was rain expected and we didn’t know how noisy the street would be.

While definitely not a luxury hotel, this place has several points to recommend it: - Good location. 5 minute walk to Paddington Station, 7 minutes to Lancaster Gate underground, close to Hyde Park. Plenty of food places close by. - It’s clean - Friendly staff - Mini fridge in the room so you can buy food for snacks & breakfasts on your own to save money Some downsides: - It’s TINY. I know this is normal, but this is really really tiny. I am a small single woman and had to leave my 1 suitcase in the walkway between the bathroom and the bed because the tent no room for it - The shower barely gets above lukewarm, even at the maximum knob level - No lift. Not a deal breaker, but difficult with suitcases and could pose accessibility issues for some as there are a lot of stairs. Not luxurious or super modern, but clean, comfortable, and a good location. I’d stay again!

Always greeted like a friend by one of the 3 guys that rotate on reception. Was put in the room I love (which they know I love) and as always had a really relaxing stay. Can’t recommend this place enough. If it’s one night for business or you’re in London for a week on holiday, the Glendale is 5 minutes from Paddington station where you can get to anywhere in London. One last thing I’ll add is the location is slightly away from all the other hotels in Paddington so you get a benefit of it being quieter but still just as convenient

I booked a room for 2 adults and a 2 years old baby with baby bed and was given a tiny room with a double bed only and no space to even move around it, and refused to give me a baby bed, Very rude night shift manager, very unprofessional,

I travel with work a lot and stay in central London a few times a week. This is the first place I try to book when I'm in London. I am always well looked after from the minute I arrive to the moment I leave. I genuinely don't have a negative word to say about it. From the value for money to the comfort of the beds all boxes are ticked. The location is walking distance to public transport which can get you anywhere in the capital which is another bonus. The staff are on the front desk 24/7 and are always happy to help. They even recommend amazing restaurants nearby if asked. My only issue with it is it gets booked up quickly and the next best places close by aren't in the Glendales league. London needs more hotels like this and more staff like these guys. It really is a good experience start to finish! VIVA LA GLENDALE!!

Unfortunately this place was really not up to the standards. Hair on the bed sheets, 1 single toilet roll, the walls are full of dorty hand marks, the heating doesnt work, and its so full of dust.. Small tiny towels.. Honestly, i dont leave bad reviews but this was genuinely not a good experience. We ended up buying our own cleaning spray and toilet rolls
