It is a great medieval property with great character and impeccable service. Great food and friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable and a perfect location for walking to restaurants and shops.

An old-world but elegant hotel that had everything you would need. Excellent location, excellent, quality buffet breakfast. Highly recommended. And Colmar is a delight. An amazingly preserved old town.

The property was very interesting historically, very comfortable compact and bijou room! The breakfast was perfect. When I had trouble opening my door, the lock was changed. It was quiet and I slept well.

Excellent location and very authentic medieval property. I have it 4 and not 5 starts because our first room ( room 10) lacked a working AC and we had 2 very uncomfortable nights, despite alerting the staff as soon as we checked in. On the third of the 5 nights we spent there we were transferred to another room (40, in the attic). The difference was surprising: larger, with very modern shower, working AC, and overall a much nicer experience. I saw other rooms. Not all are the same, even on the same category.

We absolutely loved our time at Hotel Le Maréchal. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the building’s historic beauty and the unbeatable location right on the canal. It feels like stepping into a storybook — especially at night when the lights reflect off the water. Our room was cozy, elegant, and full of character, with exposed beams and traditional Alsatian decor that added to the charm. The bed was comfortable, and everything was immaculately clean. We had a lovely view over the canal, which made waking up in the morning and winding down at night feel extra special. The staff was warm, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and offered a great selection, served in a beautiful setting. The hotel’s location made it easy to explore all of Colmar’s Old Town on foot — everything from Petite Venise to the covered market was just steps away. Overall, Hotel Le Maréchal was one of the highlights of our trip. It perfectly balances history, comfort, and charm. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Excellent facility right in the heart of the city. Restaurant was looking at the river. Very helpful staff who can speak english properly. Lovely reception area. The only letdown was the small room, considering the high price.

Lovely old hotel in petit Venice. Fantastic restaurant on site, L'Echevin. Need reservations. Very small room with tiny bathroom but quiet and clean. Matress for 2 was 2 twins pushed together so you sank a bit near the middle. Breakfast was underwhelming but ok. Service was very good.
