Worst hotel experience in Paris – ruined our entire trip I’ve traveled extensively across Europe, the Middle East, and the US, and Hôtel des Deux-Îles was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. The photos online are extremely misleading — our room felt like a tiny cage with barely enough space to move. Noise was constant from above, the neighboring room, and the street outside, making it impossible to rest. Breakfast was a nightmare. The waiter was openly rude, throwing things at our table and ignoring requests, and the room was swarming with fruit flies and other bugs. I asked for a refund for breakfast, hoping for some compensation for this terrible experience, but the manager refused. Considering we spent almost €5,000 on this trip, this hotel ruined what was supposed to be a special vacation. The hair dryer barely worked, the area outside felt unsafe — we were even confronted and attacked by a man near the bridge — and the room itself was cramped and uncomfortable. The only bright spot was the front desk staff, especially Alex, Alexi, and Merrianne, who were polite and helpful, but their efforts couldn’t make up for the disaster of this stay.

Location Location Loacation. You could be plenty happy spending a day on Ille St Louis drinking coffee, shopping, grabbing some cheese, bread and charcuterie, or enjoying a Berthillon sorbet. Leave the island headed in any direction and you will find yourself in the middle of quintessential Paris. Exit and turn left, you'll soon find yourself on a bridge to Ille de la Cite and Notre Dame. Go right and you will quickly find yourself at an Intersection that offers the option to cross over to St. Germaine, or to Le Marais. All three options get you quickly to Subway stations the will connect you anywhere. Rooms are classically "Paris small," but the beds are comfortable and the the Hotel serves tea and invariably delicious housemade cake everyday in the lobby starting from 3pm.

Absolutely wonderful in every way. Fantastic location, exceptional staff (Alex was so kind and warm and offered excellent recommendations for our trip), clean room, and the tea and cake in the lobby is such a sweet touch. Love this hotel and cannot wait to come back.

Lovely hotel in ideal location with friendly, efficient service. Staff make every effort to assure comfort and satisfaction. As is typical in Paris, our room was small but so be it in this quintessentially Paris neighborhood where restaurants, shopping and architectural delights abound. Staff kindly and willingly accepted our baggage on very early arrival and equally accepted it for storage late on our day of departure. Overall a good place to stay.
