This is in a great location for walking to most places and juan on the front desk is lovely. But we booked a standard apartment and it is most definitely not an apartment. It’s one smaller than standard hotel room with a fridge, dishwasher and a sink. The bathroom is directly next to the bed with a frosted glass door that is smaller than the door frame so there’s a nice gap down the side so if you want privacy in the bathroom you will be greatly disappointed. If you open the sliding shower door it also hits the switch and turns the light off in the bathroom. What initially gave me bad vibes was when you get a check in link you are asked to accept terms of the room which include a list of charges e.g 30 odd if any used cups or dishes are not left in the dishwasher, 40 odd if you leave any rubbish even in the bins, you have to dispose of it in a public bin yourself, 300 odd if you hang any clothes out the dry these are just some of them. On arrival at 9pm as we were delayed we were locked out of the building with no one visible on reception, we rang the number on the door an a man answers and simply told us that we had missed check in, which surprisingly there was no opening times for reception on the long list of terms we received. We slipped into the building after another couple exited and I told the man I’m in the building and I’ve paid for a room. He wasn’t happy with this said he would send me two links to pay and he would let me know how to get a key and hung up

Located on the middle of amazing shops, restaurants and cafes and coffee spots! Apartment hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We’re coming back next year!

When we arrived on we went into the reception and the guy’s name was Juan. He wasn’t real friendly but got us all checked in. Said our room wasn’t ready yet, but in about 15 minutes the cleaner came down and said we could go on up. We took our luggage up to the room and decided to go eat. We were gone for a couple of hours. My husband decided to walk around more, and I came back to the apartment. I was going to start unpacking and thought I would turn on the television. That’s when I realized the tv was broken. I called the cleaners in and everyone was surprised by this. Juan said we could move to the room next door but they would have to clean it first. They did, and when we moved over we realized it was a handicapped room. It was smaller than our room, no sofa, and the bathroom was for a handicapped person. By this time Juan was already gone, so we thought we’d just stay the night and move to a regular standard room the next day. Well, that night a mother and her 2 grown daughters came into the other room next to us shouting and screaming at each other for over 2 hours! It sounded like they were in the same room because if there is soundproofing, it’s really bad. The next morning we waited for Juan to get there. He didn’t acknowledge us at first but the cleaner was there who is so nice. He said how was it last night? We began telling him about how loud it was with the ladies next door and this got Juan’s attention. He said I’ll speak with them. And I said good, but we don’t

Excellent property, nice little kitchenette and basic kitchenware + table/drink ware, microwave, stove, refrigerator etc. Our room was spacious with a lovely full wall window. Location is great, with the hotel right on a piazza with plenty of bars and eating options. Metro station, market, Barcelona cathedral, Gothic quarter and Gaudy houses are all minutes away by walk. Staff are courteous. Rules are slightly different compared to a regular hotel, we had to take trash out on the day of check out, and room cleaning happens once in 4 days or so. But that was not a deal breaker for us. We loved our stay.

Hotel was great. Perfect location. Front desk was so friendly and helpful. Only 2 complaints. The bed was broken in the bedroom. The back half was broken and angled down. And there was partying in the halls loud and racket from 1-4 am when we had to be up at 5. Kept us all up all night But other than those things it was perfection

The staff member Mauro was great. He was very helpful and kind. The area is a great location as well.

Large room was good.

We loved staying here. The rooms had massive windows that let in lots of light when you wanted and had blackout curtains when you didn't. The street outside (Carrer de l'Allada-Vermell) is much wider than most streets in Barcelona, but is pedestrian only and has trees, with only a small children's playground and a few restaurants. Despite it's beauty and breadth, it is surprisingly low-traffic. It provides a quiet, scenic retreat from the otherwise sometimes claustrophobic sense of the rest of the old city. Please note that the standard room is marked as having a kitchenette, but it does not have a hot plate/stove top. Those are only available at the higher tiered rooms. It still comes with a toaster, coffee machine, utensils, plates/cups, microwave, and a fridge. As such, we were able to have breakfast in the apartment which helped us from a budget standpoint to enjoy more parts of our trip. With our budget, this apartment provided us with plenty of value without compromising on quality or safety. Of course, if you prefer higher service, such as daily cleanings, room service, etc. you would be better going elsewhere. For us, having independence was more important than high service, which is why Aparthotel Allada was a perfect fit for us. The staff at the front was still very friendly and helpful, such as booking us a taxi for our early morning flight. I cannot recommend them enough.

The hotel is in a great location but the checkin after office hours is terrible lots of paper work and the person in the office was not helpful at all but the lady working in the weekend was much pleasant and professional.

The room was cleaned but wasn't clean. Clouds of duct under beds. I dropped my phone under the bed, oh my, I wanted to sanitize it after that. Emty can from sprite on the windowsill and empty bottle under other bed. Someone's old ice cream in the freezer. The fire alarm went on twice. When we called the contact number because of that, we heard in response: what do you want me to do? Nice. Zero customer service. The folding bed creaked with every single movement. I couldn't sleep well there. Noce location though and there are properly working kitchenette and bathroom. Very nice guy at reception during our check in.

the location is amazing, teh only issue is, the front desk do not stay there after 6Pm neither before 10am , so that we need to go to another place, with it is far from the Apart hotel Allada, do be able to check in, but the real issue is , nobody told me that untill i get there, the Hotels.com does note have that information, nor the Allada aparthotel shared that information when tehy send us teh email with the confimation. no instructions about that was shered before we arreived, and this was a mess, after 16hrs flight get into the aparthotel and do not have no one to check in, get a train to the locatio plus walk for 25 min untill get in the place to check in, plus get a taxi back….

Misleading description spoiled a good stay. 1) The building's reception is NOT working 24/7, but from 10:30 to 18:00. That means when we had to check-in at 21:00 due to our flight, we could either go to another part of the city to collect the keys, or complete additional online steps for a self check-in. That information was sent via email AFTER the date when we could cancel the booking, many weeks after the booking was made. 2) When we decided to complete the self check-in process, we had to sign a contract with additional conditions, like we had to take the trash bags with us when checking out, otherwise we are fined €27. I don't understand why the cleaning team cannot do that when they clean the flat after the checkout, but the guests on holiday with suitcases have to worry about that. The flat itself was clean, functional, in a convenient location. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. It could have been a near perfect stay, but the unpleasant surprises left a bad taste. If only all that was clearly communicated at the beginning, it would have been a different story.

Everything was fantastic – especially the location and cost of the place – but I felt that it would have been nice to know that building work was happening outside. We couldn't keep the window open at night because it was so incredibly loud. The aircon was fab, though, and a good alternative. Only other gripe is that the bathroom door is a frosted glass panel rather than a lockable, sturdier door. It would have been nice to feel that the bathroom was more private. Would highly recommend once the building work is finished!

A great location to explore the unique lanes and culture. Great to have a supermarket 2 minutes walk away, and to be within a walk of the beach and Barcelona sites.

It’s somewhat unsafe. Pick pocketing is high and literally follow you around it’s so evident and very high risk. Location was pretty decent.

The apartment is right outside a restaurant so it was loud during weekends til about 1am.
