Friendly, helpful staff in this small 3 star but 'wannabe' 4 star hotel. Everything is clean but a little old-fashioned. The rooms are small and basic but quite acceptable. In the bathroom - or in mine at least - it is all modern but very small: I am a small guy but banged my elbows every time I turned around in the shower. The hotel has a small bar which is fairly pleasant, although I never saw anyone using this facility. Breakfast was OK too. In terms of location: ideally situated for Omonia Square, bus and Metro connections, etc. Be aware, later at night the area becomes fairly seedy: Omonia Square itself feels fairly intimidating and the area around the hotel is filled with prostitutes on every corner (male and female). Overall, this hotel is good value for money, clean, safe and well-located in central Athens and I enjoyed my stay there.

Lovely woman at reception. Convenient area, close to Metro Station, Plaka, Acropolis, and much more. Omonia is a bit gritty. Try not to go more than three or four blocks north of the fountains.

The hotel was clean and in a very convenient location next to one of the major stations!

The hotel was close to the station about two minutes away there is a lot of restaurants and shops around the area very safety and very easy to travel from or to the airport. The breakfast was good buffet breakfast. The only things I didn’t like the room were I was sleeping there is a noise coming from the window because of the air condition engineer machine was installed there and the room was very small.

We had a wonderful stay at The Athens Mirabello. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was truly impressive—friendly, helpful, and very professional. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, and everything about the hotel felt organized and welcoming. One thing we especially appreciated was that, even after check-out, the staff kindly held our luggage for us until late in the day. That small act of service made our final hours in Athens so much easier. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a clean, well-run hotel with excellent hospitality in Athens.

This is a great hotel with great staff, very helpful and friendly. I had a good time. However, It is located in a part of Athens that is not very clean, or safe. one of the nights not 50 meters away from the hotel, I was chased by a gang of goons because it is isolated, dark, and unsafe, I must also note that the room and the bathrooms are tiny. The shower stall is less than 1.5‘ x 1.5‘. The elevator is about the same size. The thermostat is kept locked, and the guest has no control other than to call the reception each time they are hot or cold.

Pros: The Athens Mirabello was very close to a lot of great sites, it was about a 10 minute walk to the Monastiraki and 30 minutes to the Acropolis. The room was clean and met my needs. There is a free breakfast in the mornings. Cons: There is no air conditioning so it gets quite hot in the room. I stayed on the top floor, and there was a lot of very loud noises coming from what I think was the control room for the elevators. Because of its location on a side street, none of the tours I went on would pick up from this hotel. The surrounding area is a bit dodgy, with a large abandoned building directly behind the hotel. I was warned not to venture around at dark because of this.

Although the area is walking distance to great restaurants and shopping it is very old and dirty.
