It was more than we were wanting to spend but it ended up being worth it! Great breakfast, very attentive and helpful staff, very clean rooms, and right next to at least 4 fantastic restaurants and bakeries!

I loved this hotel, the location is great and it’s very charming. The staff were so kind and helpful, I would definitely go back here, felt very taken care of.

We loved everything about Hotel Smeraldo (means Emerald!)… the breakfast was amazing, location was perfect for us, the room was clean and just the right size! Bonus was the roof top restaurant and the best pizza place in the city right across the street! Definitely would recommend and stay here again!

The hotel is located in a great location! Tons of shops and restaurants. Staff was helpful and kind. The only downside was how small the room was but I think for the area it was worth being squished for the 2 nights we were there. If you have a lot of luggage or need space maybe look elsewhere. The hotel is a little older but well kept. The rooftop is cute and has a full bar with snacks.

Room was well located…but very chaotic lobby. There were always a ton of people in front of the doors. My room was small, but delightful. Very clean, and fabulous balcony with gorgeous views and jasmine growing and scenting the air. I brought dinner back from the viral roscoli restaurant (straight across, which is why chaotic) and enjoyed on balcony with wine from grocery around the corner. Staff was very courteous and breakfast was really good…they have a coffee bar that a barista makes your request. I really liked the location, I walked everywhere, so can’t comment on proximity to public transportation. Took taxi from termini train, and it was 12 euros.

location location location. Walked to all the main attractions.Staff was helpful and polite at all times. Breakfast coffee bar was awesome. Tip…sit down at table first and then the awesome staff will ask what you would like to have. No need to get up to the bar.

We stayed 5 nights before a cruise. Perfect location - within a 30 minute walk to all of the major sites. Surrounded by many restaurants and little shops. Our room was small but lovely and quiet (we were on an upper floor). I would highly recommend.

This is an excellent choice and will definitely stay here when in Rome. The rooms are quiet and temp was nice and cool. This boutique style hotel had all the amenities one could want: amazing staff, helpful in every way, the breakfast buffet was healthy with many options plus many coffee drink options. The breakfast staff were extremely busy but always kind and accommodating. The hotel staff were excellent! It’s conveniently located to all touristy attractions 10-30 mins walk. This location allows for time to take a tour, walk back and get refreshed. Highly recommend!

This is the best place to stay. It’s a boutique hotel feel. Amazing breakfast buffet with healthy options, and many coffee selections. The staff are exceptional and very helpful. We will always stay here when in Rome. Conveniently located 10-25 minutes from all touristy spots, yet quaint and quiet location. Rooftop bar is quaint & great as well.

Our room was small like most in historic districts but it was beautifully designed and immaculate. We were on a higher floor so didn’t hear street noise. Housekeeping was always prompt and the breakfast offered in this hotel is lovely. You also can’t get a more convenient location - we walked everywhere, all the main sites are within a 30 minute “stroll”. We enjoyed drinks and appys on the rooftop bar one evening.

Was extremely happy with the room. The bed was wonderful super clean, beautiful detail. The stock was excellent made me feel so welcome especially Leonardo. I think his last name is Jones made me feel like I was at home with the breakfast were amazing. We unfortunately didn’t get to go to the bar upstairs checked it out. The atmosphere was beautiful. Bought lunch and had it on the outdoor terrace upstairs just extremely warm and welcoming from the staff at the breakfast getting your cappuccino every morning. It was amazing and the location is absolutely perfect to walk to everything when I’m not a walker so just love the place.
