This is a -once-great property, somewhat tired looking now - positives are amazing location/ in the middle of forests/ river. But service quality- food - restaurants- competency of restaurant staff is not good ; value to quality is 3; no proper coffee in the rooms; water is supplied in modest bottles, even a basic water bottle is extra

Stayed at Loi 2 nights in a superior room. It is difficult to find high end hotels in the Iguazu area unless you stay at the Gran Melia for double or even triple Loi's nightly rates. Do not expect luxury here. While Loi advertises as 5* it certainly is missing the qualities and details of a high end resort. It really is a 4*. As an example, there were many things broken in our superior room: blinds in bathroom, tub very worn out, lamp shades by bed crooked and loose. We complained twice to house keeping about the toilet getting clogged. Curtain loops are torn. Restaurant seats had stains... With that said, the location is beautiful and pool area with tiki bar is very nice. I wish management paid attention to details, with the right care and some refurbishing this could be a marvelous hotel given its location. Stay here if you are OK to settle for less and to receive decent accommodations without the luxury.

I stayed in this hotel about 9 years ago and the difference between then and now is astonishing. The hotel needs to undergo repair, maintenance, and refurbishment...the sink in the bathroom was cracked, the toilet paper holder was broken and about to fall off the wall, and there were broken tiles around the pool outside. The staff has also gone downhill. I attempted to set up a airport transfer a few days before the arrival (as it stated on their page that they offer an airport shuttle if you reserve it 48 hours in advance). After repeated phone calls, whatsapp messages, and emails, I could not get through to the hotel staff. I even contacted Hotels.com and they attempted to contact the hotel THREE times and could not get the hotel to answer their phone. At this point it made me worried that the hotel was not open any longer. I tried to contact them for two days and they NEVER picked up their phone or answered emails or whatsapp messages during that time. Finally the night before the arrival, they responded to an email with no explanation for their absence. They suggested that I was just dialing the wrong number. The food was no longer as good as it was the first visit. And on the way back to the airport, the hotel insisted that they DIDN'T offer a shuttle to the airport. It seems as though the hotel is financially failing, not training their staff, and running out of ways to fund its operations. Poor service all around.

We are extremely unhappy with our experience. There was mold in the air in our room and we woke up with respiratory issues. And had to cancel our stay (and change hotels). The staff was not very accommodating. We asked for a partially refund for 2 of the remaining 3 days and they bluntly refused! Upset! On top of that, many things weren't working properly: an elevator, fridge, TV remote. And the pools were very dirty.

The positives are: beautifully landscaped gardens, enjoyable pool area, and friendly staff. The negatives are: it's a very tired property in need of renovations and upgrades, and the buffet breakfast was terrible. Overall, the hotel was a poor value, even for a touristy locale.

Very relaxing, secluded property. Access to rooms over swaying bridges was awkward. Elevators did not work over 2 days. Reported twice with no response.

Pros: Clean room, nice pool area, comfy beds. Cons: Room in different building than main lobby, restaurants and pool. Food - not good quality, tough cuts of steak, dry pastries. Staff - not trained well. Restaurant staff not attuned to guests. Long wait time to be helped, frequently “forgot” to bring items asked for after asking several times. Staff could not answer questions accurately. Perks- We had a 20% discount on food through Expedia. We were unable to take advantage of this discount due to incorrect instructions by 2 different staff members. The mgr would not accommodate us at the end of the stay for their inaccurate information. Very unprofessional. They require food to be charged to the room to receive the 20% discount BUT they charge an extra 20% to charge it to your room. Which, as you can see, cancels out the discount. We were not given the discount on the meal since we paid cash. Location- although unique and pretty hotel it is far away from town. If you need anything unexpectedly (medicine, toiletries) they do not have a gift or convenience shop. You must take a taxi to town (14,000 ARS both ways). I would choose to stay elsewhere next time.

This resort is beautiful and the staff are extremely gracious. The pool area is perfect. The only this I would suggest is that they vary the lunch and dinner menus each day because if you stay there and do not want to taxi into town for dinner every night, having a menu with variety would make meals better. The food is good but variety like daily specials would help.

The room was spotless, the staff really friendly, the pools are incredible. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the food at the restaurant was not great.
