One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. Large room, perfect for us and our daughter to share, with a huge stone terrace with sun loungers and table and chairs, looking directly at the mountains. Wonderful horse-riding close by and hiking directly from the parador. Delightful staff in the restaurant and fantastic regional food.

What a beautiful situation with great quiet landscapes all around. An area we’ve never been to before but will revisit.

Fabulous Parador in the mountains. Upgrade to a Mountain View room if you can. Staff friendly and helpful, excellent restaurant serving the best octopus I’ve ever had. Rooms aren’t huge but are well equipped.Parador easy to find and roads are good. Can’t wait to come back!

Great location in spectacular countryside. There's nothing else around within walking distance so it was a shame we felt so rushed at dinner there. Plates were being whisked away the moment you put your cutlery down. There's a difference between efficiency and making you feel that they wanted you out of the restaurant as quickly as possible.

Beautiful atmospheric parador in former grand hunting lodge located on the side of a hill with magnificent views of the snow capped mountains. Very good value for money. Staff very pleasant and helpful. We would have liked tea and coffee facilities in the room and the bar/cafe to be open in the morning for a light breakfast

Recommended to anyone who likes a friendly hotel in magnificent surroundings. Offering great food, friendly, attentive, staff and all round comfort.

Exceptionally helpful reception staff who resolved several problems - not related to the hotel itself. These included a breakdown of my rental car. A good place to hang out in early April snow.

Elegant place, very charming and located right in the heart of prime birding locations

Overall we had a good experience. Things that are misssing include enough personnel to attend the guest i.e. one waiter to serve the three bars (one permanently closed) that resulted in long waits for service. The general bar is fairly plain and not particulalrly atractive . Given the many saloons available, the hotels would be better served by conditioning one of them with great outdoors views where people could confortably gather, talk, see enjoy tghe views and have drinks before and after the meals. The breakfast could improve given the price.

Beautiful surroundings

Lovely hotel in the middle of nowhere but really only 60 km from Avila - old style lodge - traditional dining room produced excellent breakfast and dinner. Great for mountain views and access to Puente Pico and the Roman Road. Cool in the height of summer.

Este parador cerrará en unos meses y durante más de un año va a ser objeto de una reforma integral. A pesar del próximo cierre temporal el parador de Gredos sigue prestando servicios a plena satisfacción de los viajeros. Buen desayuno y buen restaurante. Habrá que reservar ya para la nueva etapa de su existencia que esperamos sea de al menos otros cien años.

Al ser el primer parador existente, hay temas de muebles de madera, etc que son un poquito vintage ya. Pero la verdad salvando eso es muy cómodo, vistas increible y la gente muy atenta.
