Great room, free breakfast, friendly staff. Perfect stay

Hotel very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a good breakfast buffet each morning. Hotel was convenient for walking to the main attractions in centre.

Everywhere very clean, loved the bathrooms and big sinks. Building has lots of history. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast was good and location of the hotel is very central. Lots of cafes near by. We went for the classic room as we weren't going to be out exploring every day. It was quite dark as it was in a corner looking into a wall. This actually worked to my advantage as I normal wake at 5:30am in the morning, even with a mask, but the room was so dark I slept most mornings until 8am! Bed was also very comfy. I'd stay here again. This room is really good value if you're not spending any time in it but if you like to hang out in the room then maybe upgrade to the next level. Overall very happy with our stay.

Stayed here overnight and could have happily stayed longer. A beautiful hotel, well situated for exploring Trieste. Room was spacious, clean and quiet with a lovely choice of fresh breakfast items in the morning.

Everything was sublime, from the location and service to my room and breakfasts. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here on our recent trip to Slovenia. Hotel is less than 30ft from the city canal and is in a beautiful area. Our room had a view of the castle and was perfect.

We had a beautiful room with lots of space and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Nice bathroom with nice amenities. The breakfast room was really nice and the food was varied.

Room was lovely, location was convenient. Breakfast was really good (continental buffet with some cooked items). Only had two minor complaints - the room has a small coffee machine but you only get one caffeinated coffee free of charge and have to pay for any extra - in a 4* hotel? This is a cheap look. Maybe just give 4 capsules free per day. And there is no creamer fo use with the coffee. However we were able to get a small jug of milk from reception. Also the air conditioning didn’t work. We only stayed one night so didn’t do anything about it but we did not sleep well as it was too warm and too noisy with the windows open. Overall it’s a lovely hotel but a couple of minor issues spoil the experience a little. We would stay there again to put things into context!
