Good location and good food

We had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. However, we were very disappointed to learn upon arrival that the onsen facilities can only be used by guests without tattoos. This restriction was not clearly disclosed during the booking process. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was to enjoy the onsen, so finding out that we could not use the facilities after arriving was frustrating and significantly impacted our experience. We understand that tattoo policies may be common in some places, but this information should be clearly communicated before guests make a reservation so they can make an informed decision. Had we known in advance, we may have chosen different accommodations.

Beautiful gardens and traditional Japanese rooms. Onsens are wonderful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only problem is that the hotel is quite isolated, so you must rely on the hotel shuttle to drive up/down from the local bus route. Other than the hotel restaurant, there are no other restaurants/convenience stores anywhere close (15-25 minute bus ride away). Not many taxis in the area either.

Room was spacious and gorgeous. Dinner was absolutely delicious. Staff comes and makes your bed for you while you’re at dinner. Golf course was super fun and beautiful.

The hotel is beautiful. Eat ahead of time or else dinner at hotel was about $100 per person and need reservations. However, restaurants in area closed early around 5pm. We ate before arriving at hotel and got to use the onsens privately while others were having dinner. You have to call them for a free 5 minute shuttle from bus stop to hotel. It would be near impossible to walk it and it’s pitch black at night with no lights. Breakfast was delicious, beautiful and filling. Beds were comfortable. Room for family of 4 was very spacious. We were happy to spend some family time in the room. Bring snacks and a deck of cards to enjoy in sitting area. Free shuttle to train station where we took bullet train to our next stop.

Beautiful facility and grounds, traditional interior design and outdoor onsen make for a very special setting.

I am glad I choose this hotel, it made us feel so pampered ! the room are great,we loved the Japanese traditional style room,that is one reason I picked this hotel. the area is a bit remote but with shuttler service that hotel provide, it work out very well. the Onsen was two thumb up,my and my two daughter enjoy the serenity every night,felt relaxed and rejuvenated.wish we can stay there forever. all the staff are very friendly and helpful I also really apricated their pronto attitude and the efficient manner,you asked an extra towel,in a second their are right at your door. I added the breakfast in our stay and it was a really nice experience too! we will stay there again when we go back to Hakone

The views were truly stunning. The landscaping of the hotel is so beautifully designed and maintained, it’s like staying in a fairy tale. Staff were friendly and attentive, particularly at breakfast. One small annoyance which I couldn’t understand was why they limited each room to only 2 access cards. There were 3 of us staying in the room and that caused us some inconvenience. Otherwise an excellent stay.

-The room has an old bathroom and smelly carpet and kemonas, the room quality is not the same as Shawn in the website, I did not enjoy my stay in the room -The location of the hotle is 30 min walk from the bus station, in a steep uphill with no light, empty of people, I felt in the middle of no where, I arrived at 5pm at the bus station, it was dark with no single light and I felt by myself, not mentioned in the website, the hotle should provide shuttle bus service from the bus station to the hotle at the time of booking, I called the hotle and they sent me a shuttle bus, I did not have a roaming plan and I did not expect that -The hot spring closes for 1h per day 10-11am -Scheduled Shuttle bus were provided in the morning from the hotle to the bus station The view from the hotle is nice looking at the gulf course -Traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner was included

We loved the Japanese tradition of this hotel. The location was beautiful and beside a golf course. The onsen was stunning. The location was a bit tricky but busing and tacos are options to head into Gora for restaurants.
