Beautiful suites and views - great food

beautiful hotel a lovely area. The views, kindness and helpful staff could not be faulted. Wish we could have stayed.

We had a overall great stay at this property during our trip to Allgäu-Oberstdorf. The hotel room was spacious and clean, furniture were a little dated, but still in good condition. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious, staff and service were friendly. Would definitely stay again when I’m the area.

Great find this place, Large rambling hotel with tunnels and alpine views[think 'where Eagles dare']. Spectacular Alpine views from outdoor hot tub and indoor pool. Large sauna/steam room/ wellness complex all included. Rooms are more small apartments excellent breakfast and Dinner in main building. Basement bar as well with excellent music choice [not Alpine].

Alpenhotel Tiefenbach is an excellent place to stay! The hotel staff are very friendly and went the extra mile to help answer all of our questions. The picturesque views from the room's balcony were unforgettable. The room itself is spacious and clean. The hotel's restaurant offered a different chef-prepared menu each day. Alpenhotel Tiefenbach is also located very close to Breitachklamm gorge and nature park.

The hotel and staff were great. The hotel was beautiful with painted highlights on the walls and ceilings. The views were incredible and it was priced lower then other hotels that were not as nice. I will be taking my wife back here to stay for a longer visit next year.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The advertised category 4 stars sup is exaggerated. The deco lack the fency touch of real palaces. Having said that, we also paid much less than for a real 4/5 stars hotel. So all in all, this was ok. The hotel offers a free pass for parking in Oberstdorf. We also did not need to pay for the safe, which is seldom enough to be mentionned. But most importanlty, we enjoyed the calm and the nature of the location. The SPA is correct and clean with sauna, turkish bath, and whirl pool. On the down side, the restaurant closes at 9pm, which kills somehow the romantism.

The hotel offered everything that we wanted and more. The spa area and treatment rooms were fantastic and the room we booked was a two bedroomed appartment and not a typical room with an extra child bed as we presumed. The buffet breakfast was very extensive and catered for everyone. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Oberstdorf and we wouldn't hesitate to re-book.

Loved the hotel, the suite (upgraded gratis), the views of the Alps, the hiking trails, the breakfasts, the wonderful staff. Note that the hotel is actually in Tiefenbach, a 12 minute cab ride from Oberstdorf town and train. If you plan to stay more than a weekend, and/or want to see the town itself or more of the surrounding area, you should consider a rental car. Otherwise, the hotel will take you back to the train, and we could probably have arranged to be picked up from the train had we known in advance.

Schönes Hotel, Zimmerausstattung und Fitnessraum nicht mehr up-to-date. Frühstück ist gut. Lage ist ruhig, aber etwas weit ab vom Schuss.

Begrüssung eher ruppig: "Bitteschön?" statt z.B. "guten Tag, hatten Sie eine gute Reise?" Empfang beim Frühstück: "Zuerst Ihre Zimmernummer"

Wir waren 3 Tage da. Jeden Tag beim Frühstück gab es mindestens ein Persnal, dass uns wegen ihrer schroffen Art den Kopf schütteln ließ. Also beim Service sowohl beim Frühstück als auch beim Abendessen fehlt einheitliche Schulung aller Mitarbeiter. Das Hotel selbst und der Wellness Bereich sind schön und bieten mehr Potential als es mit dem aktuellen Personal und dem mangelnden Taktgefühl her gibt. Und es steht und fällt eben mit dem Service.

Ich wurde sehr freundlich empfangen und mein Zimmer war wunderschön. Die Ausstattung und Größe waren hervorragend, der Blick war ein Traum. Der Wellnessbereich ist sehr schön, das Schwimmbad leider etwas klein. Alles war sauber. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Man kann direkt von der Haustür aus die Wanderungen starten. Viele Parkplätze, gutes WLAN.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, u.a. der SPA-Bereich, aber auch die Zimmer (zumindest unseres). Fotos im Internet sind geschönt. Preis/Leistung eher teuer. Hunde erlaubt, aber die Hotelrichtlinien und Preise sind nicht besonders hundebesitzerfreundlich. Liegt in Seitental von Oberstdorf (Ortsteil Tiefenbach). Gehört trotzdem zu den besseren Adressen von Oberstdorf.

Ich werde sicherlich nochmal hin gehen. Hunde sind gar kein Problem und werden ebenso herzlich empfangen.

Sehr erholsamer Urlaub in ruhiger Umgebung. Tolles Frühstücksbüffet mit allem was dazugehört. Zimmer sind groß und gut ausgestattet, tolles Bad mit Regendusche.
