The hotel was very tired and the food was very basic, the room had a kettle with tea and coffee but no cups or mugs.

I was actually ill when I first arrived, the staff were amazing to help. It was a very hot few days, but with the help of the staff we managed to get through. We would highly recommend this hotel and will be back!

Great looking property. Rooms are simple but very large and plenty of space. Lovely staff and very accommodating. We had to leave early the next day and they prepared small takeaway breakfast bags for us.

Staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good and the one meal we had in the restaurant was great too. It's a little old fashioned in style which adds to its charm. They started breakfast early due to people going to the Open golf which was helpful. Only small negatives were the mid week breakfast finish time of 8.30am which seems a bit early (although they did serve a couple at 9am with no fuss) and the shower flow was not great. Overall would recommend to others.

We had a great two night stay at Farington Lodge. The room was very large and clean. Staff were great and helpful. The breakfast choice was very good. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. My starter could have been a main course, it was so big. The roast main course was fantastic, with lots of roast beef. The grounds are good for a little stroll. Recommended for a break with a bit of class.
