Had a lovely visit. The beds were comfortable and the location is perfect. You are in the center of town but the room was quiet. Parking is conviently located just down the street, it is pay parking but the rate is reasonable a few Euro a day. Breakfast was delicious, even had a really nice variety of vegetarian sausages.

2/5 Stayed here for one night. The hotel feels like it may be family-run, although I could be mistaken. While the room was clean and functional, it is noticeably dated. Finding a VCR and CD player in the room was quite surprising—they take up space and make the room feel neglected rather than nostalgic. The biggest disappointment was that the photos online don’t accurately reflect the current condition of the rooms, which sets expectations higher than the reality. Overall, it’s a functional place to spend the night, but not somewhere you’d choose for the experience. I’d only recommend booking it if you can get it at a very competitive price.

For almost thirty years we have been coming to The Fairview. James and Shelley O’Neill have been the example of Killarney hearts in how they place service and sacrifice in all they offer to their guests. They remember who we are and the needs. It is a gift to be taken care of by them and their sons. This is what makes coming to The Fairview worthwhile over any other place in Killarney…it is about family for families. Thank you

The Copper Kettle (sister property) could do with some updating. Otherwise... amazing staff, clean property, and great location.

We stayed at the Fairview for 5 nights. The hotel is very centrally located, a short walk from the bus station, the National Park, and a variety of restaurants and pubs. The breakfast menu had everything from porridge and pastries to a full Irish breakfast. For us, the professionalism of the staff was a highlight. During our stay, we had a health issue requiring medical attention. Mr. James O’Neill at the front desk was empathetic and supportive, directing us to available medical professionals and assisting with transportation needs. We would definitely return to this hotel, and highly recommend it for others.

My husband and I had the penthouse and our adult daughters had a two bed room. Their room didn’t have a refrigerator. There was one in our room, but we had to plug it in. It was noisy. There wasn’t conditioner in either room or ventilation in the bathroom. Our daughters had a problem with so much condensation on the ceiling that they got rained on inside the bathroom. There isn’t much room to store clothes in the penthouse. For a room that size you would expect better storage. The bed wasn’t very comfortable either. It sagged in the middle. The breakfast was very good as was the service. Although, the same offerings are a little tiring after several days. Parking is a short walk and only 3 euros for 24 hours.

This hotel is a gem! It is beautiful and classy and spotless. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It is perfectly situated just off the main thoroughfare to downtown Killarney and all the shops and pubs, and it is within walking distance to St. Mary’s Cathedral and Killarney National Park. We could not have chosen a better location— close to so much but away from the noise. Highly recommend!

The hotel itself looked nice, and the location was good, but the staff was grumpy, the breakfast was not that great (coffee was especially horrible), and the walls are paper thin. Overall, we were disappointed, especially for a hotel in this price range. We’ll definitely not be staying here again.
