Second time visit food excellent staff great rooms very clean parking outside your door if on ground floor 4 minutes from Bemish museum great location will come and stop again

Very helpful staff, an excellent breakfast and situated in a lovely rural location.

More of a motel than a hotel. Very surprised that the restaurant was not serving food on Sunday evening, after a full day out it was a bit annoying. Room was fine but when we came back in the afternoon we found the cleaning staff had left the door wide open, fortunately nothing was missing. Breakfast was good. Parking excellent.

Food was excellent, whether breakfast or dinner there were so many choices and all we had were delicious. All the staff were encountered were friendly, helpful and efficient. The Sunday dinner we had on arrival was best we'd had out in a long time. Our room was enormous, bed was so comfortable so no problems sleeping. Lovely thick carpet. Bathroom was beautifully warm. Plenty of warm water for the shower, lovely fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. We really enjoyed our stay...we wished we'd booked another night! Only thing we commented on was the floor in the restaurant looked a little tired.

The receptionist was so welcoming and quick check in and information she gave was helpful. Bedrooms were clean and modern bathroom with large shower. The staff were amazing and so friendly. U could park your car outside bedrooms window, which was convenient.

Food is excellent but dinner service was very slow. Hotel is a little dated. The bedside, round 3 pin plug sockets are useless unless you have appliances with old style plugs or an adapter. Toilet cistern was leaking and there was a small leak on the towel radiator. The seal on the shower screen was not in contact with the bath top, so floor became wet through after taking a shower. Lots of plastic flowers adorned the hotel. Hotel is very well located if you plan to visit Beamish museum.

This is our 2nd Visit to this lovely hotel. We only stayed one night 2 years ago but loved it so much we decided to stay this year for 3 nights The staff are so friendly, polite and helpful The rooms are a good size with lots of storage, although a bit outdated compare to the rest of the hotel. Plenty of parking The food was absolutely superb with a fantastic menu choice. Breakfast with lots of options, especially the fresh kippers which you don’t find in many hotels It’s in a great location with lovely views and if you like to play golf there is 9 hole, par 3 right next to the hotel and Beamish park gold course less than 10 mins away. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we look forward to staying again in the future.

Excellent stay

Staff very helpful, bar and restaurant areas clean tidy and spacious. Good choice on menu and good value. Overall couldn’t find any faults

Clean room parking right outside motel style . Food evening and breakfast was excellent even when there was a wedding . The room was still quiet and the staff excellent , very rare for a wedding g venue . Very good all round would use again

The breakfast was lovely, the staff were friendly and our room had parking right outside the patio doors which was a bonus.

Stayed here for a wedding night, great being able to drive your car up to the room. Room was ideal had everything u would need and very comfortable beds

Vkean room, very spacious though bathroom needs a little tlc. Very very warm and added staff for fan - came up straight away, very helpful. Food ok but made up by extremely helpful and friendly staff . Perfect one night stay . We will return.

Excellent in every way

Parking was great staff very helpful

Plenty of on site parking. Friendly & helpful staff. Large & comfortable room but a bit tired. Ours had towel rail running piping hot on a day that was 27 degrees…. Staff should have checked room & run air con for 20mins pre guest arrival - walking in to a cool room after 7hrs driving would have made a huge difference. Food was amazing both evening meal & breakfast. I would recommend,

Downstairs accommodation so had patio doors to car park outside. Had varanda so coukd sit out with trees beyond. Nice view. Clean tidy and breakfast was really good. Definately go back.
