I had low expectations of this hotel due to reviews but was very pleasantly surprised and would absolutely stay again. Can only assume poor reviews are for apartments and not rooms. We had a newly renovated suite which had a separate living area and two bathrooms. Yes you could hear music from outside but wasnt awful. We paid a supplement for the 'thinky' card as travelling with 2 year old- bit unclear what it actually covered bar a room with pureed sauces for pastilla for kids dinner? However childcare was reasonably priced and while attendants were young (students?) they were sweet. Excellent location. Only criticsm would be the high level of greenwashing- lots of plastic.

Overall the accommodation was good and a nice location to the slopes. Most of the staff were friendly but some I found were a little rude and felt we were inconvenient for them the lift took ages so we always took the stairs. Bar staff were very friendly. I would most probably stay there again in the future.

Good family ski hotel. Cant beat It for convenience or lack of crowds.

This hotel is in an excellent location right next to the ski area with the lifts and gondola on site. We found the hotel very warm and turned off the radiators in the room. The rooms are basic but functional. We found the hotel Extremely noisy. We could hear the guests in the next room talking and laughing like they were in the same room as us, when they were just talking normally. Children roam everywhere, running up and down the corridors, playing football in the lift lobbies, and just being generally disruptive without any parental control or intervention from hotel staff. We were half board and there was a decent selection at breakfast and dinner. We always found something nice to eat however It gets extremely busy in the restaurant at times. This is our second time staying at this hotel. We had a similar experience on the first occasion and decided to give it another ago. However, due to the noise and lack to sleep, we wouldn’t stay here again.

Good location, lovely bar and restaurant staff but hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment. The food is the next best feature to the excellent location. Reception staff were a bit hit and miss (probably the language challenge) and be prepared for noise especially on a Saturday night (until 3am). Snow clearing starts about 4.30/5am. We asked to be moved after the first night. Beds are uncomfortable.

The hotel is slightly outdated. It could do with a bit of a revamp. Lack of a kettle in the room is a dearth for British folk! The staff are all marvellous. The hotel is outstandingly clean.

If you are looking to have an amazing Italian experience, then this is it! The hotel was a perfect location for beauty, skiing and family activities. The rooms and balconies were large and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to have our rooms right next to each other. The 3 person room had 2 bathrooms! The decor is an Italian alps fashion and seasoned, but was clean and perfect for our family. The half board with breakfast and dinner was delicious and convenient. We were among the very few that spoke English as a first language, but the staff was friendly and we had a blast! There were pubs, shops and markets, the gondola, ski shops, ER, whatever we needed, was right there. And, if you wanted to stroll over the little bridge to town, it was available. Next time we'll have to book longer to take advantage of a village visit. Thank you, Hotel Planibel for making our family's first visit to Italy so spectacular with all that you offer. Fabulous!

A skiing trip for found the hotel was very accomodation got , with clean comfortable rooms, excellent food and close proximity to all the ski amenities. Just one hiccup with one room a double rather than a twin and two of the lads had to cuddle up and the pillows could have been betterWould thoroughly recommend.

Location location location, hotel great if a little dated,food good and staff helpful

We arrived way before check-in time but the very friendly and helpful staff did their best to get our room ready early. We had connecting rooms above the front of the hotel which were spacious with plenty of storage. The view of the mountain was lovely but unfortunately we were above the main bins and collection of these could get a little noisy. We were half board, both breakfast and evening meals provided plenty of choice and were enjoyed by all of us.

Hotel is in great position. We have chosen this hotel for years. In our last two stays, it seems to have become a little dilapidated. Food has disimproved. Lifts are erratic. Has it changed ownership or being run down? I do hope not. We love it and would love to see it given some care. Wifi is almost nonexistent. Please ask owners to put some improvements into hotel and offer better food. We love the hotel and want to continue using it

The car park is like a rabbit warren! With no signage in English of where to park and where the entrance/exits are to the accommodation. When we eventually found the hotel from the car park, check in was efficient. The room was warm and clean, if a little dated. The beds were firm. The breakfast was good - although on one morning we had to queue for ten minutes for coffee. Some tables are allocated to certain guests, but this was not made clear leading to a couple of embarrassing confrontations. A special thank you to Stella on reception who was very helpful in making some phone calls on our behalf when the diesel froze in our rental car. The hotel is excellently place for access to the ski lifts in La Thuile. We would stay again.

Couple of days for a short skiing break. The hotel is in bad need of a refurb, particularly the Gym & Pool facilities. That said the rooms were comfortable enough and if all you plan to do is ski the location of the hotel is absolutely perfect right at the bottom of the ski slope. For the condition of the hotel, thought the room rate was a little pricey but I guess you pay for location. The hotel staff however were extremely helpful. Watch out for the parking .. it was advertised as free parking/included in room rate. But when we arrived actually turned out to be €9 per day.

Spent a week at this hotel in January halfboard. Hotel is right beside the ski lifts & Gondola. Very convenient to everything. Food good. Pool good. Resturant management staff a bit snooty but other staff very good. Confusion as to what resturant to eat in eventhough there had been a table assigned to us at the beginning of our stay. Kids games room good but would have been better if actually in the Hotel - a bit hard to find - kids stumbled on it by accident. Supermarket, bars and resturants next to Hotel. Only negative - Wifi terrible

Fun entertainment every night . Fantastic buffet dinner.

Great location, very close to the ski lifts. Rooms are very noisy as you can hear your neighbour flushing their toilet, running their bath water. breakfast is best avoided, especially on a Sunday morning when instead of glass you are presented plastic cups to drink from.
