Starting with arrival - this hotel was “difficult”. Difficult to locate using Google Maps, parking was off-site (about a block away and unsecured). Our room was on the second floor - not only was there no elevator, but the stairs were literally from another century - stone, worn uneven with time. Absolutely no help with our bags. Did I mention it was complicated with pouring rain? Yeah, the “lobby” of this hotel is open-air, so the floors were puddles of water, steps were wet - well- they were outside! It was a relief to get inside of the room. The room itself was fine, comfortable enough, nice bathroom, but for me the inconveniences of this place outweighed the positives. There was a continental breakfast included which was nice, nothing special. You need to ask for your cappuccino to be “caldo” or it will come room temperature. The staff was pleasant enough - absolutely no complaints. We actually ended up checking out a day early! I definitely will be looking for another option next time we’re in the Maglie area. No value here based on the price.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Nice simple breakfast that included gluten free options upon request.

The staff could not have been better or more kind. The only suggestion I have is the bathroom could have been about 1’ deeper for movement. The glass ceiling was a great idea and they should have made the wall between the bath & bedroom glass as well with an opaque section for privacy.

The hotel is in a very nice and quite town. The rooms are lovely and the hotel is in a historical amazing place. The only improvement point for winter is that the place where the breakfast is served has not a very good heating system and it was cold

Beautiful rooms with vaulted ceiling and stone walls and floors typical of old buildings in Puglia. Very well maintained and extremely courteous staff ready to help with any questions. Very tasteful croissants and pasticciottos, an amazing local pastry, served with breakfast.

Amazing hotel which looks like a castle. Amenities and new and very well maintained. Food at breakfast also above average and has a good range of items on offer. The hotel only has a few rooms so it feels very intimate which we loved. There is plenty of free parking around the hotel so it was also very important for us. Only downside is that the reception staff doesn’t speak great English but they speak French and Spanish.

My wife and I stayed in Corte dei Francesi for 4 nights during our Honeymoon in Puglia. The staff were very helpful and provided us with good recommendations for restaurants and beaches to visit. The breakfast provided was very good and the room and the hotel itself was very relaxing.

Corte dei Francesi: we could not have picked a better place for our stay in Maglie (which was an excellent mid-point to explore the countryside towns and those along the coasts of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas). "Mama" (the owner) and her daughters were a joy and very helpful. Pamella was a delight and prepared and served regional specialties at breakfast (included with the room price). Our sleeping room was very clean and beautiful: canopy-draped king sized bed; comfy sofa; storage drawers built into the stone walls; walk-in closet; and, double sinks in the bathroom. The breakfast room was incredible (as was the breakfast), located in "carved stone walls" with sections of glass to see the excavation work below. The staff also gave us complimentary tickets to the castle in Gallipoli and very god recommendations concerning local restaurants. This place is a great find and deserves an A plus rating! You will be happy you chose the Corte dei Francesi for your stay.

We had the most wonderful stay in this gem of a hotel. Hoteliers were hospitable and very eager to please. We loved every moment and appreciated the efforts of our hosts which were always above and beyond.

Very nice and friendly staff, well located in historical center of town, very clean and beautifully designed renovated old factory, A place to return to if you will visit the area again.
