The hotel was lovely and clean, the staff were friendly and relaxed. We enjoyed having our breakfast on the terrace every morning. The hotel was perfect to walk to the lido or local pizzerias (about 20mins) the bus service was frequent and easy to get to from the train station. I'd definitely come again and recommend to others who want a relaxing family friendly experience

We had a lovely sea view room, the window opened to allow the sea breeze to gently cool the room. It’s exactly as described.

On June 23, 2019, my wife and I arrived at 2 pm by auto at Hotel Gennarino with reservations made through Travelocity. We were shown to our room which was nice but extremely hot and was told that the air conditioning would take a little while to cool it down. Tthe temperature outside was over 100F. Their AC was broken because it never did cool the room down. When we complained to the desk an English lady offered to show us another room where the AC had recently been on. We could tell no difference between the temperatures of the rooms. We told her we could not possibly stay there in that kind of heat and we would have to find other accommodations with air conditioning elsewhere. The lady at the desk then offered to help us find another hotel that would meet our expectations and reserved a room for us nearby at the Hotel Boston. She told us she was sorry for our inconvenience but not to worry because she would cancel our reservation at the Hotel Gennarino and not charge our credit card or refund our money back on to our credit card if it had already been charged. Our latest credit card statement confirms what she said not to be true because we were charged on June 24, 2019, for a room we never stayed in. To avoid getting my credit card company involved on June 29th I emailed the hotel directly and explained what happened and asked that they refund the amount they charged back to my card. No response. Now, the credit card company has become involved. Too bad....

Short walk to coastline, lovely terrace to breakfast on, bus stop to centre and train station outside, fabulous shower size, good sir conditioning.

We stayed here for three nights. The hotel is nice and we had a room with a balcony with awesome view. The host and hostess are the nicest people. we enjoyed our stay.

It was a pleasant stay with nice view around the hotel. Facilities were fine but since there was no wifi during that period it was bit hard. Enjoyed some variety of breakfast( sweet and salty) The plug is different from UK . All travelers traveling to Italy please check whether your plug can be plugged in or please take a convertor with you. I stay in UK and the plug in UK ( three square pin plug) and Italy ( two round pin plug) are different therefore it was hard to charge our devices and its hard to find a convertor in Italy therefore please find a convertor before leave your country.

Little hotel at a busy seaside road. Getting into Livorno center is difficult by public transport, especially in the evenings buses are rare. Parking a car is possible but prepare for occassional traffing jam in the parking place. Mixed feelings with the hotel: There is kindness, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, nice daily room cleaning and towel replacement, nice little yard to have breakfast in. On the other hand ours is a basement room with little windows which are looking at the parking spot so you have to use roller shutters choosing between either privacy or some daylight in the rather uncomfortable room which is rather small. The bed is large and comfortable, the bath very basic but functional. Air conditioning is working well. The mini bar is barely functioning and not very clean: only the upper part of it produces some cooling effect only sufficient to cool 2 little beers or water bottles, the rest of the device is not usable for cooling. Breakfast is very basic with an excellent cup of fresh coffee and more sweet than non-sweet options. Overall the hotel offers a little less value for a rather high price.

We stayed in the street side room which was very noisy even in the middle of the the night. Wi-Fi wasn't working most of the time. Basic breakfast but owners make great coffee.

Sehr wenig Parkplätze innerhalb des Areals. Frühstück erst ab 07.00 Uhr, nicht geeignet für Fähre nach Korsika, welche um 08.00 Uhr ablegt.

Op zich was het ok. Maar de kamer was warm, het bed was vrij hard en de airco deed het zozo. Wij hadden geparkeerd op de parkeerplaats van het hotel, maar bij uitchecken hoorden we pas dat dit 10 euro extra was. Dat had hij bij het inchecken kunnen melden, want parkeren voor de deur op straat was gratis.
