We loved our stay at The Geroge Townhouse. The room was spacious and even had a nespresso machine so we felt we had hit something luxurious and, in many ways, we had! The bathroom was huge, warm and had a wonderful shower where you can have a large spray head or a small one. Choice! Meals were great. Staff were great. What else can I say?

Beautiful room, really excellent. Sharon was so kind to us the next morning at breakfast. As a local I thoroughly recommend a stay there.

Lovely place to stay. Room full of character and a great shower. Would recommend without hesitation. Food was good and there was a lovely atmosphere in the bar.

Lovely old building and gorgeous room with nice offerings for tea and coffee pods for the machine . Lovely large shower and although on the high street side we weren’t really bothered by any noise. Staff all seemed really friendly and helpful particularly as we did encounter a problem with our room , however the manager dealt with this promptly and efficiently and we were pleasantly surprised how kind he was due to this. Breakfast was fantastic and plenty of choice. We would not hesitate to return if we needed to be in the area again .

Had to change rooms due to noise from outside units , second room also noisy ,very tired looking , not very clean , handle on toilet loose ,shower not working on ‘rain shower’ Bed mattress had no support, felt like was on floor ! Definitely not a boutique hotel bedroom sadly

Lovely room and

I nice stay (B&B) - friendly welcome. Good size de luxe room with comfortable bed was only a standard 5' bed not a super king which was provided in some other rooms. No comfortable chairs to sit on. Would stay again.

Deluxe room 3 was spacious, over looking the high street, but the double bed was narrow. Will certainly return, and choose a twin room made up as a double. Great value in this charming market town.

Gorgeous large room with roll top bath in the window over looking the church. Very good food and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Fantastic find!

Wonderful 2 night stay, accomodated us when needed to rearrange dates of our booking. Hotel room was very clean and comfortable with lovely details such as complimentry water and homemade cookies in room. Ate dinner in restaurant, lovely decor and the food was of lovely quality and big portions. Would recommend.

Room fully equipped. Shower with good pressure. Parking was adequate and breakfast amazing. The mattress and pillows were too soft and the duvet was too thick with no option for a lighter blanket. Not a lot of room around the bed but good storage.

Attractive old coaching house in pleasant, historic village square. Clean and tastefully modernised interior and lovely outdoor terrace for sunny days. Free car park, very friendly and courteous staff, good food and beer and clean, well-equipped room, comfy bed and superb shower. Would happily stay again. Some noise from plumbing system, but it is an old building - was not a great issue for us.

Varied menu in restaurant, with attentive staff, accommodated my dietary needs. Cosy room, which was lovely, impressive shower cubicle and comfy bed

Room facilities poor. No tea making facilities, milk not fresh enough - didn’t last till morning.
