Great location, nearby metro stops. Friendly staff that stored our bags as we arrived well before check-in time. Room was very comfortable, loads of restaurants within short walking distance. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

Overall, I do agree with the hotel rating of 3 stars. The location of the hotel was impeccable, it was nearby all of the attractions and subway stations. But, the walls were paper thin, you could hear people showering, flushing the toilet, and my boyfriend said he could even hear someone sneezing. Also, our AC was continuously on low and we would literally sweat through our sheets. When we asked staff to check, they seemed disinterested and said that there is nothing they can do and the AC is working and “it is just this way in the summer.” Breakfast was average, but come early so you even get anything decent.

The property is in very good location, it’s easy to go everywhere, walking distance. The rooms are very small

Although rated 3 stars, this is closer to a 2.5 star hotel. However, it is convenient, clean, central and, while not luxurious, perfectly acceptable for a stay in Madrid. One thing to note: the elevator is subject to breakdowns. If you’re absolutely dependent on an elevator, take that into consideration.

Lovely little hotel within walking distance of most attractions. Great aircon for warm nights. Incredibly comfy beds and fab breakfast every morning

Excellent location and property

Great location. Unfortunately the rooms were not uploaded with tea & coffee & sometimes the staff would just ignore fully preparing the room. Although, upon letting reception know of any shortfall, they did rectify the situations only that you had to repeatedly ask for in room coffee.

Breakfast was included and delicious. Property is located around many excellent restaurants and stores. It is also close to the public transportation.

Excellent location near restaurants, shopping and major attractions in Madrid Centro. The Hostal is situated in an older building, the room interior furniture is tired looking, pretty worn out. The walls are thin, so if you have noisy neighbors you’ll hear everything!

Very good location, just a 2-3 min walks to plaza mayor and city center. Room was new and very clean. All was good.

Very basic but clean and comfortable

Location is perfect, very convenient with a supermarket right around the corner. Staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. Breakfast is delicious, with lots of very good and ripe fruit, the yoghurts are the best I ever had. The sheets are soft and comfortable as well as the bed. Rooms clean, everything is nice. Except for the noise from other rooms. While the street noise is not a problem, I can hear people talking in other rooms. I was woken up several times every night as they returned to their rooms. So this was the only annoying thing.
