Could have been warned pool area was under construction

Room was clean, plug for coffee maker did not work, had to use other plug in room. Reception on check in was ok, before checking me in told me pool was closed, as he has to inform me because once I check in no refund if pool unavailability was going to be an issue. ( fair enough) breakfast ( protein was limited to pork, scrambled egg was rubbery ) Walmart, DollarRama, Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire and HomeDepot in walking distance. If you plan to stay it’s good for sleeping not noisy.

The Good: Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. Nothing special, but still good. I’d like to steal the pillows from my room. It was very clean. The room itself was good for the most part. Staff were just fine. The Bad: The pool was closed the whole weekend. I booked the hotel for the pool and paid extra so we’d have a hotel with a pool. The door in my room kept getting caught on the hinge thing above the door causing it to get stuck sometimes. You could see the damage on the door.

Front desk staff needs training in customer service. Deal with the people in front of you first instead of answering the phone. Also, greet your customers, explain the wifi info and amenities. Front desk staff did not present as friendly or helpful. Mani

The facility was still under construction. The TV was not set up but there was free WiFi.

Luckily the amnesties included a couple of fast food restaurants because the hotel did not have a restaurant or bar. It seems the person responsible quit 2 weeks ago. Other than this all was good.

Poor insulation. I could hear all the steps from upstairs as well as the guy snoring! Pool was not available. Gym lacks space and equipment. Guy that checked me in was not helpful.

Hotel was clean. Bed was comfortable. Walls are thin and can hear other guests. Price for a one night stay was very expensive.

Very nice stay. Hotel is under renovation, but they are doing a great job to keep disruptions to a minimum. The room I was in was brand new, so neat and clean. The common areas were great, including the small outdoor patio and the breakfast was really good. Love the water infused station in the lobby. The pool unfortunately was closed, but a non-issue for me. Close to restaurants and shopping.

IT was alright, room (1 queen bed) for the price (797 for two nights) seems excessive but not a lot of options in Timmins.

They are renovating the rooms. However it is definitely not worth the price…the rooms are very small. When I booked the room it said approximately $190 an evening. The next night they charged me $315…so be careful

The room was newly renovated and clean.pool.was under construction and I didn't know that when I booked ,not that it would have changed my mind staying there. Breakfast was ok..not thrilled with the containers they use to keep the food hot..not very effective . A tray would be helpful to carry breakfast. Quite a few choices.

Swimming pool was out of service

room was clean and the window could be open so fresn air can get in! there was no pool due to construction. there was no hair dryer in the room. service was great !

The Hotel does not advertise that the Pool is Closed, Hot Tub and other amenities are closed as the Hotel is under renovation as of May 12 2026. The Microtel wouls also not offwr any refund , dont book a stay at this Hotel in Timmins

It was fine for the 9hrs we were there. Breakfast was not great but the room was clean. They should empty the fridge between guests though. I guess the previous occupant had chips as there was everything necessary to make dip in the fridge....

Room was great but the hotel is under renovation and there was construction material throughout the hotel. As well they closed the pool and hot tub in order to use the area for storage. That was one of the reasons I booked there so I was not happy.

Did not get to have breakfast or use the amenities as i had an early flight. I had a good sleep though.
