This is a diving hostel, dedicated for groups and individuals doing diving sessions, and Sea Friend seems to be the biggest in the area. They are efficient and clean. Facilities are rather basic but this is to be expected in such a facility. It gets the job done. The option to dive with their own people makes the trip super affordable as a dive location. I thought the food options were affordable at their canteen, average alongside the other places in Aharen. The breakfast is rather basic Japanese fare (with a good variety and quantity) and is all delicious. Everything was good! Also, no need to book the fast ferry - they are set up with a schedule that practically syncs up with the slow one.

Sea Friend Hotel on Tokashiki Island was an incredible place to stay and truly enhanced my Kerama Islands experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, making island travel feel effortless and relaxed. The location is fantastic—close to Aharen Beach and surrounded by stunning natural scenery. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering everything I needed after a day of swimming, snorkeling, or exploring the island. Waking up to the peaceful island atmosphere was a highlight in itself. One of the standout features was how easy Sea Friend made everything. Ferry coordination, beach access, snorkeling support, and meals were all smooth and stress-free. The food was delicious and satisfying, especially after long days in the sun. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, convenience, and authentic island hospitality, Sea Friend Hotel is an excellent choice. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokashiki Island.

Property is in a great location on the island, basically right beside the beach. The restaurant served great food. The room was okay, the building is definitely dated but the common spaces were cleaned regularly. The room was as described, but perhaps at bit more dated from the photos. Overall, a convenient place to stay for a couple nights on the island.

Perfect for the price!! This definitely isn’t the Hilton, but it’s everything I needed to stay a few days on Tokashiki, since I was outside for the majority of each day. The room was a little musky, but we received fresh towels everyday and the AC was strong (most important part in my opinion). I am a light sleeper and stayed in the cabins, I could hear everything, but everyone was very respectful with noise and it went silent around 8pm anyway. This has the largest facility on the island though! It’s a 1 minute walk from Aharen Beach! Made it extremely easy to go snorkeling. While their rooms are okay, their facilities are wonderful! Sea Friend has THE BEST restaurant on the island. Delicious octopus, mango juice, cocktails, pork cutlet, and stir fry! The majority of places here close at 4pm, but Sea Friend is open until 8pm/9pm. Additionally, I got their breakfast every morning which was buffet and very good. Additionally, they sell the essentials (sunscreen, aloe, beer, icecream, etc) in their lobby. Lastly, their snorkeling trip was one of the less expensive on the island and AMAZING!! Very very worth staying here! If you don’t mind not having a fancy hotel room, but want an amazing location and great food and facilities, I recommend staying here! Staff was extremely friendly and considerate!

Very good price for the location. A little bit hard on the back if you're not used to sleeping on a Japanese style futon(i didn't personally mind it, just a warning) Lots of nice restaurants in the area and aharen beach is just a short walk away, and it's gorgeous! One downside of Aharen is there's only one small convenience store, and it closes quite early, so make sure to bring snacks and amenities

The staff were very helpful and kind. Thank you for the shuttle to the port. We came early and were able get the room without waiting. The room were clean but there is no corridor, it is directly outside. The hotel is 2min from the beach

We wanted a place near the beach and this was just what we needed. The staff at sea friend are super friendly they even pick up and drop off all their customers to and from the ferry port. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was very hearty. Overall fantastic experience in a simple basic room close to the beach. You even get discount on snorkeling gear as a hotel guest and we saw lots of fish and a sea turtle just off the beach right across from the hotel. Thank you sea friend for being very kind and making our time on the island memorable.

The beach next to hotel is beautiful! The climbing up to observation deck is totally worth it. You get 360 degree view! We rented a small vehicle to drive around the island. Sakura is ready to blossom . The view is amazing! We booked with breakfast & dinner package & was very convenient & good too,

Stayed in log home rooms and the walls were thin and could hear every door open and close and people in their other rooms. Our beds were so hard and uncomfortable too

Walk down a short path to a beautiful beach! The free shuttle from the ferry port is great! The rooms are rustic and we shared a bathroom with other guests. The included breakfast was good.

Sea Friend was the best. Despite cancellation of the public ferry, Sea Friend stepped in to help everyone get back to the main island. Truly an above-and-beyond act of kindness that I will never forget.

Staff messaged me before I arrived to find out when I would get in, and arranged for transport to take me to the hotel. After I checked out they offered to store my luggage until I left, and also gave me a drive back to the terminal. I loved my room in the cabin, very close walk to the beach. The restuarant next door was amazing, breakfast was included but I had every meal there. Many options for mixed drinks as well as food. One of the few meal options open til 9pm. Gets very quiet after dark. The only sub-par was the shower facility. My room had a mini-fridge. There was an AC unit in my room, very refreshing to come back to. The store in the lobby sells drinks and ice cream and items like batteries and sunscreen, and is open 8am-8pm. Vending machines outside the lobby with many options. Very happy with my stay, I hope to return. They also had rentals for beach umbrellas, snorkle gear and fins, etc right next to the restaurant.
