It was great location to stay

I would recommend Picasso Hotel for any traveler that is looking for a budget accommodation (or booking last minute trip on a holiday weekend like us and had very limited mid-priced hotel options). While most of the staff did not speak English, I found the staff very friendly and willing to help. One of the men working (who spoke a little English) helped our group one morning when our rental car wouldn't start. He called the rental agency for us and had someone to the hotel within 10 minutes to jump start our battery. We were very thankful for his help and the rental company's quick service so we were able to enjoy our beach day with little delay. In addition to the service of the staff, I found the rooms to be very clean and spacious. My room also had a mini fridge with free bottles of water and fast in-room wifi. The only complaint that I have about the hotel was the comfort of the bed. It was a very firm, Asian style mattress. I personally prefer Western mattresses that are medium firm to soft. This is only my preference though - if you are comfortable with very firm mattresses, this should not be a problem.

Great hotel! Nice front desk staff. Very clean and comfortable. Customer oriented. Will stay again if I visit the east coast.

Decent stay. They have LG dry cleaning/odor removal/drying machines in the rooms. These were useful and rejuvenated all of our clothing. We were unhappy that there were several body hairs on the bedsheets. The sheets were clean and smelled fresh, so I presume the hair may have come from overloaded washing mashines not being able to outflow all debris. Breakfast was okay, but not worth getting up for (unless you're on a tight budget). Bathtub was nice, and the stay was decent overall. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and didn't mind that we checked out late. There's small room for improvement, but a worthwhile stay.

Hotel was near a lot of food place and shopping areas, 10mins from the beach depending which on you go to. The room was okay, nothing special. But for the price can’t beat it!

Good location in the hotel district of Donghae, walkable to many restaurants and cafes. The bed is quite hard and the bathroom is dated with no large bath towels. Noise from other showers and a little from outside is mildly annoying, but overall value/price met expectations.

Good size, clean and comfortable room. Not walking distance to both intercity and Express bus terminal. There is a jacuzzi in the bathroom, even little too small.

We've arrived at late night and stayed the room which is at the end of the corridor. The seats and the room was clean, however it smells like cleaned with the chlorine bleach after someone smoked... (I had a feeling that we were actually staying a downgraded room at the floor..) You can ask a breakfast at the front desk when you checked in. They will get you a meal(imo-the chicken soup was more like the rice soup) next morning. And a club? nearby the place, sometimes it's too loud at late night.. :( we were supposed to stay 2 nights, checking out Monday.. but eventually we left after a night stay, too tired to stay longer. If you need a sleep and a meal, i'd say the cost performance was acceptable.

The room was great, very clean and modern, but despite the fact that I had booked the room for three people I still had to ask for an extra bed. Not an easy task given that the staff spoke no English. Also, according to the instructions in the room we were supposed to have breakfast delivered to our room, and yet nothing appeared. Still, as long as you don't need the staff to do anything for you, it's a great hotel. Conveniently located for buses to take you to various tourist spots and with lots of great places to eat nearby.

Traditional Korean hotel, great service and very clean! Only note is there was no door to the bathroom area, but since we were traveling with just our small kids it wasn’t a big deal with the open concept. Definitely would stay again!

A great hotel for a decent price. Close to beaches and surrounded by convinent stores which appeared to be open 24x7. There are a lot of fast food restaurants and other restaurants serving local food around the hotel. We used the Donghae train station for travel. A taxi to and from the station to the hotel would cost around 3800krw (3-4USD). Staff is freindly and they are at the front desk 24×7. Language won't be an issue for communication. They serve light breakfast with a choice of two korean type meals around 7.30 to 8.00am. You can ask them to bring it to your room if uou want. There is an espresso machine at lobby which makes decent coffee with fresh beans. Positive 1. Service 2. Cleanliness 3. Location Negative 1. No closets 2. PC was old and running XP 3. Some guests still smoked in the rooms making Corridors smell like smoke

Very quick check in. Breakfast was included and delivered to the room for around 7:30am (no choice in timing). The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The mattress was quite firm, but okay for a night or two. There is a free computer with printing available in the lobby as well.

Heard this hotel was one of the nicer ones in the area. Main complaint is that the beds were hard and extremely uncomfortable. Other than that, hotel was clean and staff helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable, with big bottles of skin care for guest use. Wifi in room was ok in the afternoon but became unstable past midnight. Breakfast was room service and if you don't open the door when it is delivered, it will be returned to kitchen (which was what happened to us). Staff spoke very little English so we had some difficulty asking for our breakfast. There is a coffee machine in the lobby serving freshly brewed coffee, a pleasant surprise indeed! Considering the price we paid for the room, I'd say it is value for money.

The location is fantastic close to restaurants and convenience stores etc. but that's it! The service from the front desk is sadly poor and most unhelpful, I should say, they are not willing to do anything that you ask. The room....... ... You will be happy if you are a heavy smoker! No such as non-smoking rooms available. Cleanness??? Just grab a Dettol spray and antiseptic wet tissue and clean up the room yourself. And remember, Do NOT order breakfast it's absolutely not worth to put all the effort to wake up for that!

It clearly states on the website that it is a non-smoking facility. However both our rooms smelled terrible from smoke. When complaining to the staff, they just gave us air freshener spray! Rooms are brown and worn down, and bed very uncomfortable. We never received our included breakfast. On the positive side, the hotel location is good, but there is a lot of other options in the area.
