A good budget hotel but there were a few issues. The shower didn’t clear properly, the room was cold (despite raising the temperature to 30c) and I was woken up by the fire alarm early on a Sunday (because someone had burned their toast in the breakfast room).

Everything was fantastic for a short break and really handy for the theatre which is a short break away

My only problem.was the heating did not work

Breakfast was fine ,plentyful , staff were curtious , but the parking oh-dear , yes outside but charges & having to scan were annoying , the tv's in rooms next to useless No point turning on .

There are very few parking spaces outside the hotel, and there’s a fee to park there. Our room could’ve done with a deep clean and the bedside lamps working. The bathroom wasn’t clean either. The shower had a lot of orange limescale and the shower mat had some mould on it. The shower hose was leaking and so the jet wasn’t effective. The cleaner also hadn’t bothered to clean behind the door. I expected much better from a Holiday Inn and I won’t stay at this one ever again.

Room was clean, staff were polite and friendly, parking was a bit of a challenge as there was only one spot left when we arrived and it was tricky to access, WiFi was intermittent, and breakfast was good. So a mixed bag but generally good value for a stop over stay.

Room clean , bathroom clean and laundry, staff very friendly, breakfast is clean and nice, only one thing not very good is car park only can about 20 cars if you lucky can park near hotel not far !

Poor creaking bed.woke up every time me or my partner moved…but the worst thing was the ants crawling all over the breakfast table.when we told the staff they said they new about them and someone was coming to see about them.totaly put us off having any breakfast.everywhere on the table,plates and on my arms.terrible

Some off the staff are great the one that check us in was not that great at all breakfast very poor as well as the coffee had a burnt taste to it .

Good value for money, in the very centre of Wakefield. Reception staff polite, friendly and very helpful - thank you :) I was given a large room on the 5th floor as I had asked for a quiet room. Very spacious - had a fridge, and bathroom had a large shower cubicle. However, bed was very soft (too soft) and room and bathroom seemed tired and dated. Clean enough but could have done with a good ‘fettle’ and refresh. Bathroom door was peeling and shower tray was cracked. No handwash in container next to hand basin and no sanitary disposal bags. Breakfast included - reasonable selection, but it was busy and some hot items ran out and took a while to be replaced. Serving staff polite and as helpful as they could be. All that said, I would still stay here again if I come back to Wakefield.
