the atmosphere is so beautiful and the natural beauty is extraordinary

This is the first time I have to give a rating of 1 S. In terms of service, it is not very professional. In terms of food, the value is only B. In terms of room comfort, the room is quite old-fashioned. Needs a more minimalist update. Only in terms of the activity facilities provided are very satisfying. Quite professional. The conclusion: for an international hotel like Simalem, but has the taste of OYO.

The resort is suitable for a staycation.

for the location is very good, the view of Lake Toba is amazing, lots of photo spots. This resort also offers lots of activities while at the hotel, unfortunately not all activities are available. This place is also very quiet, at breakfast time there were very few guests. the drawback is, the toilet flush doesn't work, the hotel staff rarely smile even though they are quite communicative. I also had time to use the karaoke facilities, but there were no officers on standby, so I waited a long time for the officers to come even though I had booked in advance. maybe because the visitors were quiet so it seemed they were not ready when there were certain requests. hopefully in the future there will be improvements, because this resort is actually very extraordinary if it is managed properly.

So far so good. It's just a shame to stay there during high season, during breakfast the restaurant is full and many of the food is sold out and you have to wait a long time for food refills.

It's quite pleasant to stay at Simalem... suitable for those looking for peace, less suitable for those looking for facilities.

The price is quite expensive, but the natural atmosphere is very cool, the cleanliness of the surroundings is ok, but the access is quite far, the service is friendly, the taste of the food is not very suitable for the tongue of people from Jakarta.

Lost my phone in restaurant, the staff was able to return it. Kids enjoyed the facilities which most of them were free of charge. The view was spectacular, matched with the service. You have to try jungle trekking which is very refreshing and Karaoke (you will feel like a professional singer). I cannot say anything bad about the staff. They're all very good and very nice.

The hotel is really nice. The view is unmatched, it is very beautiful and extraordinary. The service is also fun and friendly. Highly recommended at Taman Simalem Resort, especially for a vacation with family.

Very excellent place to go for holiday especially a serene place for a cuppa coffee as well as lots of adventure and activities. I appreciate the friendly lady who assist us in the rental of the bicycles for us to ride up to one tree hill, the ranger who brought us to jungle trekking and take awesome pictures of us at the waterfalls, the lovely cashier who allow us to play darts and the very pretty yoga sensei who guide the yoga class wonderfully. The front desks and the porters are always very friendly and responsive.

My family and I received excellent service from the hotel management. Where we received a free room upgrade service from Superior Class to Deluxe Class because some of the facilities in the first room had many problems. This treatment made me and my family feel very happy and appreciated.

Pleasant. The atmosphere is really good. Clean. There are also lots of rides. Only 1. The restaurant menu has been added for cold areas so there is a choice of fried bananas. Fried sweet potatoes. And bandrek. The new one is more perfect 🥰😍.

Overrated. With the price paid, not worth it. Even the room was facing wall, not even mountain or lake. The food choices during breakfast are bare minimum and doesn't taste great.
