Lovely room but no shampoo. Staff great, food amazing

Lovely pub with great staff. Restaurant excellent with good value food and wine. Rooms nice, perfect place for a stopover.

Great location and comfortable room, but our room was a bit tired. Didn't appreciate being woken up around 6am with the bins being emptied outside below our window. We would definitely stay again but ask for a different room.

The Old Red Lion Inn was great for my two night visit to the area. I arrived in Cambridge by train and chose to stay at the Old Red Lion as it was on a good bus route to Haverhill. The staff were all friendly and welcoming which makes a difference and important to me anywhere I stay. My room was fine and the continental breakfast bag delivered to my room was just what I needed. The evening meals I had in the pub both evenings were delicious. The best bit of my stay. I would stay at the Old Red Lion again when next in the area. Thank you to all the staff at the Old Red Lion

The electric wall heater had stopped working, my room therefore was very cold on arrival. After asking reception about it I was given a small plug in panel heater which gave off a little heat, unfortunately with bei g in the end loft room it did not warm up sufficiently

clean room, decent bed, nice and quiet, pub was open for food and drink, parking no problem, good location, fair value. Would stay again.

Stayed 4 times in 2 weeks whilst working in the area and found the hotel to be just perfect. Dining was a pleasure, staff were great and room was comfy and well equipped. Would defo stay here again

second visit to friendly, comfortable pub. Traveling on my own, I booked a twin room but on arrival I was offered a free upgrade to a king room. Very comfortable & although situated near the outside drinking area, being October there were not any late night drinkers. I was offered a table in either the bar or restaurant for my evening meal. The menu covers all options & the specials were also appealing. Excellent food & service from friendly staff. Sunday breakfast was from 9am however I wanted to be off by 8.45am. Although hot food was not available I was offered my pick of the pastries, fruit etc. Great value for money & friendly place to stay.

Pleasant stay, good food, good beer in a good, convenient setting

The food was excellent, as well as the staff.

Bathroom was very basic with no toiletries other than watery hand wash. No shelves in room for clothes. Lighting very poor so impossible to read. Continental breakfast consisted of an airline type bag delivered to your room the previous evening and containing a croissant, orange juice, cereal bar and apple. Very poor. On the plus side, the bed was large and very comfortable. The food in the pub was excellent and the staff very pleasant and helpful

Lovely rest stop. Nice to have a private chalet away from the pub and noise. Continental breakfast was amazing which was included. Upgrade to full English for £10.50. My husband said it was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Audley End which is why we chose it.
