A magical place. Difficult to reach by car from Zurich . Transportation from Ferry and train to Intervale would be easier. Sleeping with the sound of waterfalls is unforgettable!

We've just returned from a 2 night stay at the Grandhotel Giessbach and wow, what a place! The hotel is certainly grand and is located in the most beautiful location I've ever seen, overlooking Lake Brienz with the Giessbach falls only metres away! The staff were all very pleasant, the breakfast was great, the bar was lovely, the Les Cascades restaurant was lovely, the surrounding park and trails were truly beautiful! However, my only complaint is that we had to pay 15CHF per night for parking. I think for the price you pay to stay at the hotel, parking should be included for that price

The best way to describe this hotel is: straight out of a fairytale! The view from literally anywhere you look are absolutely spectacular. The hotel is 150 years old but they have done an outstanding job at conserving it authentic and classic look but with some modern and classic touches for comfort. You feel like you are transported in a time-capsule machine to a classic, glamorous and beautiful place. Certainly an experience that I would highly recommend

Beautiful, well thought out rooms. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Loved the coffee/tea bar located on the third floor. The breakfast was fabulous- Huge selection of choices and very tasty. Enjoyed the outdoors restaurant- food very good and the outdoors areas were stunning. Wish food service in the outside garden went into the evening as it suited all age groups.

Historic Hotel with a Waterfall on the grounds for my solo Birthday trip. Beautiful grounds but definitely not a flawless stay as I had hoped it would be for the price. Highlights were the very clean & cosy room, & endless views of the glacier Brienzersee Lake!

The best hotel experience a person could have. It is very pricey but worth every penny especially for special occasions. We paid extra for an unbelievable lake AND. waterfall views.

The staff are wonderful and the view of the falls is amazing.

The buffet breakfast was amazing and included in the room rate. We had beautiful weather and took the ferry ride to Interlaken which we highly recommend doing. The walk to the falls is a must. Altogether a wonderful experience in this historic luxury hotel.

The property has great views of the lake and is convenient to get to if you have a car. If not you have to take the boat to get to the hotel. The only problem we had during our stay was the limited options of food available as there are no restaurants nearby besides the hotel restaurant.

Everything was great just our room had a really bad smell.
