We have stayed at the Parsonage many times always a delight. On this occasion we were disappointed with the menu choices at the Fat Abbot restaurant, not up to their usual standard

Good hotel on a great location with links to York by bus every 15mins. Breakfast was superb and nighttime noise was silent so great sleep.

Lovely hotel with spa facilities close to York. As a charming vintage feel to the place and well keep gardens.

Very comfortable, spacious room. Hotel a little tired but lovely breakfast and dinner in the adjoining pub was excellent

the place is nice, staff are friendly, the room we were in was in need of refurbishment, it had that old smell to it. Pool and spa was nice, loved how warm the pool was. Didn't think much to the pub / food, just glad i didn't pay the extra for the meal package as that would have been a real disappointment. The bed was uncomfortable so neither my partner or I had a good sleep.

Took the wife to the parsonage hotel and spa for a valentine/birthday weekend get away and couldn’t be more happy with the service we received. The room was lovely and spacious not to mention cleaned to a high standard. The area where the hotel is situated is nice and quiet with very little noise. We will definitely be visiting again and can’t wait.

Fabulous hotel just outside York with ample free parking and an EV charging point (flat fee £30-first come first served). Super helpful and welcoming reception staff, room a good size and very clean and inviting. Dinner at the Fat Abbot was of a really good quality, and the bar staff were really great. Breakfast very good, with even better service. Easy bus in to York, stop just outside the main building. Only complaint-couldn’t stay longer! Thank you everyone at the Parsonage.

Beautiful property, breakfast was great, easy access to city and nearby retail park, bus picks up outside hotel.

Lovley clean hotel, comfortable beds and spacious room, with everything working. Great spa, huge pool, didn’t manage to get a treatment booked so book early of you want one. This is our 3rd time and will definable y be going back. Lovely Thai restaurant round the corner too!

Looks stunning from the outside, sadly the good part ended with that. The spa was next to the pub, not joined onto the hotel itself, changes for , Robe, slippers, TOWLES EVEN! Just tooth shine off the stay. Why there is. Charge when you would need a robe and slippers with the spa being so far away from the hotel is beyond me. Spa wasn’t exclusive to hotel guests and felt more like a communal spa than something at as hotel retreat WiFi was shocking and didn’t work very well, the room was very tired and dated with very little character in what looks a stunning building from the outside. Reception staff not very engaged either. Breakfast wasn’t included and charged separately, despite this if you wanted anything other than a regular coffee then that was charged on top of your breakfast. (Which was limited and not very warm) don’t think I will stay again due to the penny pinching charges that would normally be included included in my experience. Sadly wouldn’t stay again.

Lovely hotel, always spotlessly clean & very friendly. This is the third time I have been back. The spa is very relaxing & breakfast is fantastic, lots of choice. Great bus service to York.
