The room was fine. Pretty bare bones accommodations, but great location right by the beach. The free breakfast is a nice touch and was very good.

Rich Costa Rico experience. I you love great ambience, local vibe, beautiful foliage, great staff - this is the place for you.

Very convenience and nice place

Our stay at South Beach hotel was truly fantastico. The room with the Ocean/Pool view balcony, is totally worth the extra couple of dollars. The stay was like out of a fairy tale with three sets of French doors going out on to the balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You could here the sound of the ocean all night as a breeze blew in. Breakfast - delicious, and outside - poolside bar. Not a crowded beach. Truly super nice. We could have stayed there a year.

Super beautiful hotel. Loved that there was a bar and restaurant on site and breakfast included. The fit up front when we checked in, Josh was super helpful and gave us so many recommendations on what to do

Awesome beach front property. Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful even accommodating after hours check in. Breakfast was good. The coffee was really good.

Hotel was nice, staff was helpful. Beach is walking distance and Jaco Walk is pretty close by with food spots and shops.

Run down and filthy hotel- mold and rust everywhere. Last time it was renovated was probably over 30 yrs ago. Also there were 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. There was a mounted hair dryer in the bathroom at one point but not anymore, just the wall mount was till there...Over priced and dirty hotel!

Bar and pool right on the beach my room was next to the pool so it could get noisy at times with the kids playing the pool I could see the and hear the ocean staff was great

Staff was friendly. Location was great. Property is older and showing it’s age. Direct access to beach and the pool was great to have. Pleased with our stay here overall. About 2 km walk to most restaurants.

Horrible stay tons of ants in both rooms. Breakfast was included but they changed for every glass of orange juice. The toilet was broken and they would not allow chairs on the beach to be moved in sun. Cost another $20 . Then they charged us for a check out delay. I would look for another place. Ants in my luggage. Hope customers lets me thru with Costa Rica critters in it. STAY AWAY

Rooms were a little outdated, but can’t beat the location, and the staff. Highly recommend.

My room wasn't near the pool. There were no wash clothes or had towels in the room. Bugs in the room at night. Only a sheet on the bed. When I ask for new towels, the response was "you already used two towels?" Not the South Beach Hotel that I remember.

Warning about the rundown rooms.. Plumbing issues in bathroom (constant water pipe sounds), all lights & power outlets don't work. The structure of the room looks broken down. I had a friend visit me and the staff went from telling me she just can't go in the room, then harrasing us when chilling by the bar, by the pool, then comparing her to prostitues and being very disrespectful. The only good was the location (beach front), nice bar & restaurant on the property.
