This was such a lovely hotel! The food was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful, the location was convenient with a tram stop just outside the property, and overall made the trip better. They even left my daughter a treat and note on her birthday!! We will definitely stay here again.

This is a very unusual hotel, being situated i an old jail. It conserves the main features of the jail but is very warm, welcoming and modernised. Very helpful staff. Best feature is the excellent buffet dinner and breakfast included in the very reasonable price. There is a tram stop immediately outside and it is also a short walk to the Viking terminal for the ferry to Stockholm.

Breakfast menu was excellent with a variety. Food was fresh and full of flavour. Dinner was on house and it was amazing, extremely delicious.

Excellent hotel. Good location especially for the Tallin ferry. Only a few Tram stops to the main city attractions. Staff at the hotel were great. Very polite and friendly and very helpful. Wonderful hotel and full of character. Breakfast and evening dinner were included in the price which made the stay at the hotel excellent value.

The room was clean, and the staff were very helpful and supportive, and was able to accommodate different types of requests. Breakfast and dinner were both delightful. Highly recommend

I am a Canadian of Finnish decent and a friend of mine recommended the Home Hotel. I gotta tell you its a great hotel. Yes I was a little apprehensive at first as I heard it used to be a jail...but everything was amazing! From how they redesigned the place...to the lighting...to the super knowledgable and friendly staff...to the amazingly tasty buffet breakfast...to the heated bathroom floors and the super comfy bed it was a 10/10. Oh also the location! Just a 5-10 minute walk to the tourist zone of Helsinki...but far enough to be super quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend this one!

What a great place to stay! Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The food selection for breakfast offered a nice variety and was perfect. Also, the free delectable dinner was a pleasant surprise. If I return to Helsinki, it is where I’ll stay. Can’t beat it!!!

We loved this hotel! The location is excellent. It's just on the edge of town and we could walk to the port to get our ferry to Tallinn. The staff were superb and we had breakfast, fika and dinner included which were all excellent. We hadn't realized this was the case so it was a wonderful bonus. The hotel is an old prison so it has lots of character and a couple of old cells to see. We had a wonderful time and would highly recomment this place

Very good location, nce room, breakfast of the average quality. Free dinner is very institutional (prison like) and better be skipped.

The hotel was in a great location within walking distance of several tourist sites and shopping. The staff was exceptional, friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed in many hotels and your staff was great!! Breakfast and dinner were also good with great selections.

Breakfast was fantastic.

We stayed 2 nights, hotel room was a big but couldn’t open the windows. Breakfast was delicious with many selections, we didn’t have fika & dinner. Hotel location was about 30 minutes walk from city center. We will definitely stay there again!

Very different hotel, being an ex-prison. They've done a great job of retaining the character without being austere. Convenient for the number 4 tram and a nice location (town centre is easily walkable). Fully recommend this one, especially as breakfast and dinner included

The breakfast menu was excellent with more than 20 items available. There is a super market about 500 meters away where you can pretty much get anything from bread, snacks to alcohol.

Great hotel to stay when visiting Helsinki. Tram 4 stops directly outside the hotel so getting around the city is really easy. Hotel staff were plesent and the hotel is quite quirky as it was an old prison. Rooms very good standard and of a fair size for a stay. Great choise for breakfast and if you want to use it evening meal untill 2000 included. Soup and 1choise of main but plenty of other items to choose from. Overall an excellent hotel and we really enjoyed our stay

Amazing location, hotel is an old Jail renovated to a modern facility. It was a cool experience to stay here. Place offered breakfast, fika and dinner. Food was delicious. Nothing to complain very satisfied
