The staff was very friendly, but when I first entered the room, there were a lot of antsy bugs. Even the cleaning was not good, so there was a lot of hair everywhere.

도고온천의 호텔과 료칸의 중간정도 형태로 다다미방과 노천을 이용할 수 있는 메리트가 가격 대비 훌륭한 곳이라고 생각합니다. 위치 자체도 도고온천 본관 바로 뒷쪽으로 상점가와 아주 가깝고, 다만 주변에 별로 할 것이 없다는게 단점입니다. 전반적으로 만족도는 높았습니다.

食事はおいしく温泉もよいが、部屋のトイレが狭く、水漏れもあった。部屋の出入口ドアにチェーンが引っ掛かり使いにくい。

Great location, one of the closest hotels to Dogo Onsen. The staff are very friendly and professional, the onsite restaurant served a fusion ( French and Japanese) dinner and a buffet breakfast. We (a family with 1 adult daughter ) enjoyed the 2 night stay at this hotel, I highly recommend Chaharu ！

The dinner is absolutely amazing.. it’s like a 9 course meal and every dish is good. The room is clean, service is prompt, location is convenient. Lastly, the outdoor onsen is also an attraction on its own!

ホテルの建物自体は古いものの、掃除が行き届いていてゆっくりくつろげた。 夕食のコース料理は、見た目も美しくシェフのオリジナル感満載でとても美味しかった。朝食のバイキングは種類豊富。 全体的にスタッフ皆がとても感じが良く、気持ちよく滞在出来た。

とてもいいホテルでした。駐車場の誘導、道後温泉の空き情報、道後温泉への傘、手提げカゴ、石鹸、タオルのサービス（道後温泉や商店街は目の前です）チェックインまでの荷物の預かりや爪切りの貸し出し、その他の細かいお願いも快く聞いてくださいました。 お風呂についてですが、ぬるい露天風呂が多い中、しっかりと温かく、いい深さの露天風呂でした。内風呂もお湯の質がよかったです。 和室でしたが、好きなタイプの和室で、敷布団、掛け布団ともに良いものでした。寝やすかったです。隣の部屋の声も一切聞こえませんでした。 朝食の、目の前で作ってくれるオムレツ、美味しかったです。また泊まりたいと思いました。

手入れが行き届いており、食事も美味しいでした！大浴場もよかったです！薔薇風呂もあり、テンション上がりました！

Good location next to Dogo Onsen and shopping street. A few minutes walk to bus and train station. Nice view of the hot spring. Highly recommend!

Room is smaller than expected, wished that the tables and chairs were better stored in the cupboard to make the room hazard-free. My little one banged into the table suffering a bruise at his cheek.

Buffet, public bath, tatami room with futons, a convenience shop, and kind staff made my trip truly memorable. I'll definitely go back someday. The only thing bothered me was free wifi was congested and slow.

Great buffet. Amazing rooftop onsen. Too bad the Dogo Onsen was under construction. But the rooftop onsen makes up for it.

It was nice experience at Chaharu. It has an awesome outdoor hotspring on rooftop.

Overall, great place to stay. The room was comfortable, hot tubs were great, and the food was awesome. The only request I could think of is if they could change breakfast buffet menu from day to day... the selection was exactly identical between two days.

Hotel staff at entrance does a very good job at directing traffic, quick drop off and check in. Birthday surprise perfectly executed with flexibility, hotel staff helped to sing a sweet birthday song even! Tourist spots are within 5 mins walk and nice temples around.

There's little English spoken at this hotel, but the staff is gracious and helpful and you'll get by if you don't speak Japanese. The price seems a little high but the location a stone's throw from the principal tourist attraction in town -- Dogo Onsen -- partially justifies it. There is a nice outdoor onsen (bath) on the roof. The buffet breakfast and dinner are very good. The futon (mattresses) are comfortable.
