Granvolden hotel is a Norwegian fairy tale. A beautiful place made of colourful houses, situated on top of a hill and surrounded by stunning landscape. A historic place transformed into a modern hotel with great staff and excellent food.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs. The setting was pastoral, and we loved the scenery. The restaurant on site served excellent food, and the staff were so nice and efficient.

It was clean and very nice.

We got a wonderful vast room with beautiful view, very clean and comfortable. Dinner was delicios and breakfast was excellent. We were wellcomed by two very kind women. We had the luck to stay on the constitution day so the hotel was decorated and everybody was dressed with the traditional cloths and very happy. Perfect. Highly recomended

Very nice, but they assigned my wife and I (both in our 80's) to a room with bunk beds.

Love the quaint location and the ability to walk to see some historical spots Af a couple shops. This is a small town with friendly, relaxed people and the best breakfast at this hotel!

This is a very secluded location in Norwegian countryside. You should have a car to go around. This hotel has a history. It is over 300 years old and located near 1000 old monastery. The main building and surrounding buildings have modern interior. Rooms in the main building are small, but in the adjacent buildings the rooms are spacious with huge windows overlooking pastries and mountains. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The al carte dinner served was very good and not expensive by Norwegian standards. Breakfast was simple but the quality of food was very high.

Litt minus, jeg bestilte et rom med en stor seng, men fikk et med to små senger!

Väldigt välkomnande av våra två stora hundar, dock kanske lite för litet rum med tanke på hundarna men annars super fint ställe med jätte trevlig personal.

Helt supert. Et veldig koselig sted.

Frokosten var ok, men senga vi fikk for 2 personer var altfor smal og vi sov ikke godt

Flott nyoppusset rom, meget serviceminded stab og kjempebra kjøkken. Anbefales!
