I knew I'd made the right choice of hotel from the moment I arrived. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly, the public rooms were gorgeous and tastefully decorated. Everything looked immaculate and gave a great first impression. I dined in the restaurant one evening and the meal was one of the best I've had in a while. The waiting staff are perfect - attentive but not over-bearing. The spa facilities were wonderful. Overall, a fabulous stay and I'd definitely book again.

I recently visited the spa at the Lincombe Hall Hotel in Torquay to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The spa was extremely overcrowded, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the facilities. We ended up staying for only around 45 minutes because it simply wasn’t a pleasant environment. More concerning, however, was the condition of the water. Both myself and my friends experienced significant eye irritation while in the pool, to the point where our eyes were red and stinging. As it was my birthday, this completely affected my evening plans, as I had to go out feeling uncomfortable with visibly red eyes. I raised this issue with the hotel staff, but the response was dismissive. I was told that the water had been checked and was “fine,” but there was no apology or acknowledgment of our experience, which was very disappointing. Overall, this was not the relaxing or enjoyable spa visit I had hoped for, especially on a special occasion.

Only negative is that parking is very expensive and should be inclusive but other than that, great spa, good food and excellent service.

Very enjoyable short break in Torquay. Hotel was very nice, comfortable and the facilities in the spa and pool exceptional. Only slight criticism is that we found the menu for dinner in the restaurant quite restrictive with no specials available. Food was fine but options not great. Would definitely return to hotel but wouldn't have evening meal there again.

The communal areas are all nicely done up and modernised. It is a shame about the rooms as they had dated technology in them and the aesthetic didn't match what you were led to believe when entering the hotel. I find it also a bit annoying that you had to pay £15 per night for parking when I had already paid to stay there. £15 a night in Torquay? A bit steep... I have driven down from York - where else would I park? What is the reason for it? There were so many spaces there to park too. I get that sometimes people may park there to go into town as it is fairly close, but surely people staying at the hotel should be excluded. The staff were all really friendly and there were some excellent vegan options too.

Good points - comfy bed, cleanliness great, nice staff. Bad points - not allowed to vape outside on the terrace when we ordered drinks (no one else there), drinks ridiculously expensive, pepsi and glass of rose wine £15!! Parking overnight £15! Made us scared to even try the spa facilities as god knows what we would been charged as 'extra'. So if you go here be prepared for extra charges. Wasnt such a 'great deal' as we thought. Very bland experience overall we ended up going off the complex to find a local pub where we enjoyed a drink outside as weather was marvellous. Shame, as the actual place is lovely and nice view's.

Easy access to the town centre and stunning location. Great amenities but more lounge equipment and spa needed within the spa itself! Great spa options of saunas etc Overall relaxing escape and superb breakfast.

Stayed in room 1 and bed was too firm. The bathroom was mouldy and shower head and the drain in shower over filled with water. Bedroom was clean but could not get comfortable on such hard mattress. Spa was nice and food was really good in restaurant.

The spa is excellent, our 2nd time visiting, it was a bit busier give it was a Friday evening and as a result there was a shortage of loungers. The better spas I’ve been to in Europe often have complimentary teas which would make for a nice addition. We stayed in a refurbished room which was an odd layout, with the bed directly next to the door. The bathroom was massive but didn’t seem to have been refurbished. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was average for the cost of the stay. Disappointed to be charged £15 for parking after paying £187 for a night.
