Had a canceled flight on Sunday and American Airlines gave us a room at Hotel Hotsson in Siloa. The Hotel had no transportation and I had to send my spouse with my grandson and my daughter in one unmarked car. And I wait 15 minutes for another unmarked vehicle with both of my granddaughters. I tracked them on my phone but still nervous even thou the American Airlines employee assured us it was safe. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. And also took our dinner vouchers. We went to our rooms 120 and 121 we were a party of 6 and American Airlines gave us 2 rooms. The rooms were decent but only 2 bath towels per room no drinking water in rooms. Went downstairs to dinner and we were seated. We were not asked what we wanted to drink. They just gave us a sweet drink (Wife and I are diabetic). Jamaica . drink and a burrito and salad (shredded lettuce and carrots. I understand we had vouchers, but we were not offered a choice even thou we could have paid the difference. After the burrito dinner went upstairs to our rooms. No water in our rooms so again went to the receptionist asked for water. She directed me again to the cashier in the restaurant. I asked for 6 bottles to buy. She was annoyed or upset and made me wait for 20 MINUTES!! Before going upstairs, I asked the receptionist if the van would pick us up @ 7am and she assured me that the van would take us. Kids were still hungry, so we got McDonalds with Uber Eats. Ate and went to sleep. The next morning other passengers and us from the flight were ready to head to the airport, but no van again we had to all take different cars with no markings. I also noticed the same personnel from Sunday 9pm were there at 6:45. I asked the receptionist did you ever go home, she just smiled. Over worked employees. Will never stay there again even thou it was free. Bad experience!!!

Rooms: They are spacious and clean. The bed is large and sufficiently firm, but the pillows are filled with synthetic material, which causes sweating. The electricity (as well as the air conditioning) operates via the room key card, placed in a slot. There was practically no cold water in the bathroom; when set to 'cold', the water was barely trickling—both in the sink and in the shower. The room also includes a small desk, an armchair, a coffee table, a TV, a safe, a coffee maker with capsules, and a mini-fridge. The internet speed is decent, with a DL/UL of 150/150 Mbps. Downside: The temperature throughout the hotel is around 25 °C, and the same applies to the rooms. To achieve a normal temperature, it is absolutely necessary to turn on the air conditioning, which does not work while you are away. Furthermore, if you turn it off before going to sleep, you inevitably wake up during the night due to the heat. Naturally, the windows cannot be opened. Service: The staff is friendly, but only to a certain extent. Upon complaining about the lack of cold water in the room (where I clearly stated that it concerned the water flow in both the sink and the shower), I returned to find a second card in the slot, with the air conditioning turned on, and two extra bottles of cold water in the fridge. No one had even touched the plumbing/water settings in the bathroom. It was a similar story with the towel replacement—once they replaced a large one, another time a smaller one. There were also misunderstandings regarding the payment of the room bill and breakfast tips. The breakfast is good, but unfortunately, the lady in the kitchenette does not speak English, so she did not prepare the ham and eggs correctly—even though there is no substantial difference between the words 'ham' and 'jamón'. As for bread, toast is available, along with various croissants, cakes, etc. However, fruit juices, coffee, and fruit (pineapple, several types of melon, strawberries, grapes) and yogurt are provided. During my visit, they offered a very good Neapolitan pizza in the afternoon, accompanied by a glass of red wine and a Caprese salad! Location: The hotel is located along one of the main roads and is far from the city center—nothing special.

Room was very clean. But I had to have maintenance come several times to get the AC working. Good water pressure in the shower. The bed was rather hard and the pillows were very thin. I could easily hear the people in the next room thru the connecting door.

We checked super early after flight was delayed all night. They were more than accommodating and friendly. Honestly we didn’t have time to enjoy anything besides the room which was amazing with beautiful view.
