Beautiful traditional Japanese hotel.

The price was good, location was great , close to bus stops, convenient store. Inside the Hotel was play area that kids and adults can enjoy - ping pong tables, football table game. Breakfast and dinner buffets were affordable. Dinner Buffett was amazing ! The room was large , we finally were able to spread after travelling 2 months in Japan

The general public area of the hotel appears to have been recently renovated. While the room i booked was outdated, it was clean and spacious. The Onsen is the highlight, and it should not be missed. The staffs were extremely friendly and helpful, especially those at the front counter and the restaurant.

The room is very big for Japanese style room. Slightly dated but clean. The staff were very kind and helpful with transportation. The only complaint is the use of the onsen. It was very loud with talking and excessive laughing. People were “swimming” in it and going underwater. Kids were running around. It was not enjoyable and felt other guests did not know how to respect or use the onsen. Did not return to the onsen.

Despite the lobby being amazing with great staff we were really disappointed that our non-smoking room reeked of cigarettes. Although they weren’t able to put us in a new room they did bring up a small air purifier which did slightly help. We also thought the rooms were a bit dated but otherwise we were glad to have quite a large sized room, parking available and enjoyed being able to try out some traditional wear.

Excellent hotel from a room and dining standpoint. We loved the buffet breakfast and dinners. The room was extremely spacious…stayed in a western room with 2 beds and 3 tatami mats. The onset was lovely as well. Only downside was the distance from main attractions was a 30 min bus ride.

Onsen was awesome! Hotel provided bathrobes and slippers (along with instructions), which could also be worn to breakfast the next day. Free cookies in the lobby

Check in was easy and friendly but at checkout I was asked to pay extra because I didn’t have all the room keys with me

The onsen was really nice and the size of the room was great. There is limited free parking on site so make sure to check in as soon as possible. It was a perfect place to stay

Excellent service, very helpful front desk. Rooms are dated, but comfortable. Good location for Lake Ashi boat trip and also the Hakone Ropeway.

We stayed here for 4 nights, we were put in a smoking room with 4 beds, my daughter has a respiratory problem, but was told that is all they have as an option.The hotel is in bad need of refurbishment, the foyer and restaurant area which fronts the street has been refurbished, but all the room levels and the rear accomodation building looks like it hasn’t been touched since the 1960s,the floor we stayed on smelled like second hand smoke and

Public space like Libby and restaurant are newly renovated, but room is rather dated. Some light control don’t work anymore.
