The staff was fantastic from start to finish. All of them did an excellent job. I could boon about each one individually but would be repeating myself as they all went beyond my expectations.

The resort is beautiful and elegant we stayed in a "tree house" in a landscaped "jungle-garden" inspired setting. I was so pleased with our little private piece of paradise. The AC was excellent, great wi-fi, plenty of outlets and the bathroom was spacious with built-ins. Staff was super friendly and the front of the house took exceptional care of us. Mariposa is quite close to the village as resorts go. It was a great blend of luxury and proximity.

We stayed in a deluxe garden room. It was like a cabin on stilts. The grounds were sooo clean too. Beautiful decor and very roomy! Nice bathroom and shower and loved the shampoo and conditioner which never happens for me on vacation. The beds were AMAZING. So comfortable and the blankets light but warm enough w the AC on. The staff were so friendly and helpful and fun. Shout out to Marlin, Cali, George and Gladis! Made our stay so special. The staff made the resort. It was probably one of the most memorable stays on our vacations.

The resort was perfect. The staff were all exceptionally kind and efficient. The room was beautiful and spacious. The resort is very well maintained and a short trip to town. Would 100% stay here again.

Mariposa is the best kept secret in Placencia - my experience was excellent, end to end. It’s a beautiful beach front property with amazingly friendly staff (and central A/C!) that made our stay extremely enjoyable and memorable. We found it to be a great choice over some of the nicer, comparable options like Turtle Inn, since Mariposa has more of a boutique vibe, and we felt offered a better value overall. I plan to return again next year and will definitely book here again. Dave Swanson

The staff was incredible from start to finish We were greeted by Gladis and Jose and others. Our rooms were spotless and they were great at anticipating our needs. It was my birthday and they made very special accommodations to make it very memorable.

Amazing staff lovely grounds

The attention from Staff, their kindness stood out tremendously. They helped us with everything that we needed and went beyond.

We stayed in one of the forest cabins,all good,it was clean comfortable and well equipped with everything you need.The staff were very professional and polite that made our time here enjoyable.

We stayed at Mariposa when we arrived to Placencia and the last night before we returned home and it was perfect. Gladis was very welcoming at the reception, Donny was amazing at the restaurant and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The bungalow was perfect for our family of 4, since they have bunk beds. The restaurant was good with a nice view of the ocean. They have nice swings, volleyball court, paddle boards and bicycles which is perfect to go in town. It’s less than 5 minutes drive from Placencia airport. The only thing is the ocean has so much seaweeds that it wasn’t nice to go in the water. Which is fine since we didn’t stay at this hotel for the ocean but just be aware that this strip of the island gets a lot of seaweeds…
