Our stay was very disappointing. For this type of hotel, we expected much better service and cleanliness—it felt more like an inn. The elevator floor was full of crumbs, and the hallway to the rooms had lots of ladybugs and mosquitoes. Inside our room, there were ladybugs around the balcony door frame and mosquitoes flying everywhere.
When we reported it, the receptionist (who was also the cleaner) asked us to wait outside while she “cleaned,” but the bugs were still there afterward. She said all rooms were the same and none were available. After a long drive, we ended up cleaning the room ourselves with a vacuum she lent us.
The room was missing listed items like wine glasses and a wine bucket. There were no basics like tea bags, body lotion, or hand soap. The water dispenser was broken, with no hot only cold water was available.
The restaurant was also disappointing. Both steaks were cooked unevenly—half medium, half well-done—and the seafood gratin came without the garlic bread mentioned on the menu. Staff didn’t even inform us or offer an alternative until we asked.
Overall, very poor service and low standards. The only good thing was that the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean.
