Great room, great service, fantastic location, lovely town, excellent staff, gorgeous breakfast. Could not have asked for more, amazing place.

Fab hotel totally recommend

Staff were not welcoming especially when i checked in very late from my flights. Staff were so loud chatting about there night before (personal chats) at 8am in the hall cleaning rooms that i could not sleep. On leaving my room at 10am the laundry bags strew all over the floor meant it was a hazard walking let alone pulling my suitcase.

Lovely staff very good food and great position in centre of Melrose

The hotel has a large car park. The rooms were clean and warm. The hotel was taylored more for eating. The meals were excellent and the bar closed early after meals were finished. There were no casual bar customers. Pleanty of bars close by. The area was very safe and comfortable to walk around at any time..Nice friendly staff.

Loved the secluded location, and the ambiance of the hotel

A really well run hotel and a pleasure to stay in. We overnighted on our way back from a tour in Scotland and were very impressed it outshone other hotels on our trip and was great value for money. The food offerings were really good too. We will definitely return.

Lovely hotel

The food is first class; the staff friendly and the room clean abd comfortable. B&B rate is a little higher than comparable hotels. Obviously you can expect traffic noise if you are at the front of the hotel being in the market square facing a road but we were woken very early by delivery men playing very loud rhythmic dance music from their lorry cabs. Hotel manager needs to speak with regular drivers about respect for sleeping guests. Lorry noise ok but NOT loud music.

Friendly and helpful staff

Everything was good at the hotel, the facilities in the room, nice tea tray, spotless bathroom good shower with easy temperature and flow controls (no problem with wet hands), bed really comfortable. Dinner and breakfast excellent quality food, plenty of choice and service efficient. All staff encountered were courteous and attentive.

Excellent location. Food & Service was excellent. Would definitely go back to stay.

Modern, clean and comfortable room. Mine was at thd back and very quiet. Delicious dinner and breakfast the next day. Amazingly friendly staff.
