Overall property was pretty good with garden area and outside dining. Food was acceptable. Off the main road and so less dust and traffic noise. Fan and AC unit worked. Room not as clean as it should be. Main problem, they had screen doors on each room which made a loud banging noise every time they were closed. With about 20 rooms that can make for a lot of unpleasant noise especially at all hours of the night. Also lots of people were smoking in all of the nice outside areas, not in the rooms supposedly, which at times made it uncomfortable to sit in close proximity to them.

Services are OK; Cleanliness was not so fine in room because daily cleanliness was not there. Intercom was not there; Lighting in room is poor; In the same price, it was fine to provide AC facility; Fooding and surrounding was fine.

The guard opened the gate to give us keys. We desperately Needed to rest after walking 8 km from the East-West Highway. Excellent service and awesome guide. We are Nepali Speaking U.S Citizen, they treated us like friends. I strongly Recommend Tourists to check them out.

We have stayed at the Chitwan Village Resort three times, and it is our favorite hotel in Sauraha. The manager and staff are truly the best! As well, the gardens are beautiful, the breakfasts are generous and delicious, and rooms are great. But truly, we return again and again because of the wonderful staff and service. We hope to be back again next year!

Great experience staying at Chitwan Village Resort. Very peaceful environment - I slept well, ate well and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel manager arranged for me to join a jeep safari with an excellent guide at a fair price. If I return to Chitwan, I will absolutely stay here again.

Overall - very nice. Staff makes a lot of effort. Location - inside a small lane away from main market. Two elephants parked outside. Three great restaurants quite close to hotel (jalapeno, bay leaf and friends). Hotels breakfast is awesome. Didnt try any other meal. All jungle tours organised very well. However the hotels electric infrastructure needs to be improved. At night there was power failure and the battery/inverter which was supposed to run our rooms fan didnt kick in. I ran around to find someone...was able to reach Raj and got the problem fixed. The whole night we slept in constant fear that when the next power outage will happen. We stayed two nights.

We stayed here for one night and from when we arrived to when we left the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The staff had clear communication. The manager talked through tour options and was not pushy at all. The breakfast was very nice, the bed was comfortable, and the the resort was quiet and well maintained. Best sleep we had in Nepal! Would recommend.

I was really thrilled with my experience at Chitwan Village Resort and it has been the highlight of my stay in Nepal. The staff was so helpful, offers pickup from the bus station, and made it so that I didn't have to worry about a thing while I was there. I was really impressed by just how helpful and genuinely caring the staff was. I booked a safari through the hotel with canoe ride, jungle walk, jeep safari and Tharu cultural program, and I felt it was a great value and I wasn't at all being taken advantage of. I recommend booking with them and particularly recommend the canoe ride and Tharu cultural program. My guide through the hotel was really kind and I very much enjoyed talking with him throughout the day. I also found the location of this hotel to be really nice, situated next to a rice paddy with two elephants kept next door. It was very cool to be among the local farms even in the tourist city of Sauraha, and it's a close walk to the main row of restaurants and shops.

It was just ok. Pros: comfortable bed, hot water 24/7, staff were nice, wifi was fas t(note that I was the only person there). Cons: the room neeed a good scrub and dust and the bathroom needed a thorough cleaning; you had to specifically ask every morning to get your room cleaned-no hanger for door and they did not tell me that at check in; you had a curfew as in they locked the gate at 2100 (not that Chitwan is jumping at night, but I had to hurry back from dinner with people I had met on safari); and the aircon doesn't really do much at all (not great when it was 39 C/102 F). I also had two black items of laundry come back covered in white towel fuzz. How do you not notice that? They rewashed them for free. Sadly, they lost a pair of my socks in the next laundry set and even though their rules say they will reimburse up to 5 times the laundry price, I only received the laundry price. The load shedding was not too annoying as one light in the room, one light in the bathroom, and the fan kept going. Since the aircon did not do much it did not impact much on the coolness of the room. However, if you came back in the afternoon, you had too find someone to turn on the power in your room or nothing worked.

Raj, the manager, and the rest of the staff very very friendly and helpful. They did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The food at the restaurant was good. The outings were the same price as had we bought them elsewhere. The from was comfortable and we were fortunate to have a view of the two elephants next door and it was so enjoyable to sit on our balcony and watch them and enjoy the lively garden. We had a thunderstorm during our stay and the following day ALL the staff were cleaning up the grounds. We also appreciated the drive to catch our bus. Everything was first rate and I loved every minute here.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The location is perfect and the room is comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful and gentle. They have limited varieties in breakfast. Also, I didn't check all the hotel facilities as I spend all the days outside in the National Park.

This is a great choice if staying in Chitwan. Impeccably maintained property with large comfortable rooms, good restaurant, exceptional service and central yet secluded location.

Resort staff went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful experience. Super easy to book activities and bus trips from the front desk, with prices being the same as outside. Hotel has their own elephants on property which you can view throughout the day or you can take for a bath down in the local river (highlight of our trip). Rooms had mosquito nets which is a plus and the grounds were well maintained with gardens full of flowers. Overall an excellent stay and I'd highly recommend Chitwan Village Resort.
