We were put in the annex roof room which had suffered earlier water damage. While we understand that Victorian houses are not the same as today's the stairs were extremely narrow and dangerous, especially when carrying suitcases. The windows also need replacing, the double glazing was a manual effort

A very handy place to stay, just on the outskirts of Grantham, just a short walk into town. Plenty of parking on the street outside, or on the bays on the side road. I stayed in the annexe, in a ground floor room by the road - glad to say, no noise issues at night! The room itself was large and well maintained, if a little dated decor-wise. Bed was extremely comfy! I didn't have the breakfast, but stopped by reception in the morning and it was being cooked fresh to order, looked very nice. The staff accidentally charged me twice (once through website, then when I arrived). Before I even got a chance to check this, they left me a note to pop by reception and get the additional charge refunded. Great customer service! A very nice hotel in the area, I'll definitely be back if passing that way again.

Beautiful accommodation in historic house, bedroom and bathroom really lovely and very comfortable. Stella such a very nice lady, and so very helpful, and great to chat to. A really nice walled back garden was so peaceful to sit in. I hope very much to return, as just a gem of a place to stay.

Used this guest house as I was visiting family. Comfortable room and en-suite, It’s on street parking (The pavement) didn’t have the breakfast as I was out early. Greeted by friendly staff member and it was clean, tidy and friendly

Hotel is vfm, a short walk from the town centre. Bedrooms are in main building or an annex on the side street with parking in front of the hotel or a 4 car bay at the side. Rooms are big enough but a bit dated, could use a bit of tlc and repaint. Furniture is a collection of random pieces. Was quiet enough even on the main road and bed was comfortable so served it's purpose and would stay again.

We used The Red House as an overnight stopover point to break up a long journey from 'up North' back down to the south coast. The building is 200+ years old and Grade 2 listed so lacks some of the refinements you would find in a more modern establishment. However it was clean and tidy and suited our needs. The single beds were very comfortable. Good breakfast and a very friendly and welcoming host.
