Friendly hotel staff, nice rooms, and great city location. We stayed there for almost a week and did not have one thing to complain about.

Everything was amazing!!! The only qualm was that the temperature of the room fluctuated a lot no matter what the thermostat was but other than that had a great time & great experience!

Very helpful and friendly staff, lovely breakfast with variety and the best smoked salmon we had all week. The room was clean and comfortable. The Skyre here was wonderful, also the best I had all week. It was in a very convenient area for shopping and dining.

Everything about the Sand Hotel was fabulous. The staff, the breakfast, the location, we will absolutely re-book when we return to Iceland for more exploring of this beautiful country.

This hotel was really amazing, great walkable, centrally located, amazing breakfast spread included with our room, very friendly and informative staff. No onsite parking due to city location but easily figured parking app for street parking and at what time that street parking became free overnight either at 6pm or 9.

We stayed for 4 nights. The location of the hotel is perfect, everything is nearby. The room was clean with enough space for our bags. Staff was polite and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, in particular bread and pastries! Some reviews mentioned noises at night due to its location but it was very quiet and we didn't need to use ear plugs. It may be because we stayed in weekdays, though. We will come back to the hotel again and recommend this hotel to other people.

Very helpful Anne friendly staff. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The bed is comfortable and the linens are wonderful quality.. The breakfast has wonderful European variety and healthy options. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel in every way.

Staff were very kind. They honored my request to receive a top floor. The room was clean and cozy. Breakfast was delicious. A lot of variety was available. The convenience of the hotel location was nice as well. It was far enough from the loud club/bar areas, but close enough walk (~10mins) when we wanted to go. We especially loved how close we were to Sandholt and Braud & Co. Both cafes were phenomenal and offered delicious food, pastries, coffee and tea. Thank you! We would stay again.

Great hotel location, close to shops and many restaurants. The entire staff was warm and friendly, and would do whatever they could for you. The reception staff was fantastic, literally. Arrived on early morning flight at 8AM, and they gave us a room for an early check in, which was great. Ivan was great, and caring for the guests.

The breakfast was one of the most amazing spreads I have every seen. I looked forward to it every day and could have spent hours sampling all the different options, many of them very healthy. I also loved the convenience of this location.
