Taiwanese hotels are mostly smaller, so we chose a quadruple room for a family of 3. It was the right decision for the trip as there was enough personal space for everyone. The bed was comfortable and the toilet was clean with dry-wet separation. We were impressed with the smart toilet. The staff were warm and friendly too. However, the separation between the toilet and room could be better as the light in the toilet illuminated the room at night due to the translucent glass wall. Located along the old Taichung city shopping district with a pretty small night market. Good to explore on foot as certain stalls are good - dumpling noodles shop, braised pork bun shop at the cross junction that sells si shen soup. However, it will take around a 10-minute walk to the current Taichung city shopping district. Breakfast places include 5th Market, 2nd Market (more food during lunch and evening). Accessible to buses. Would come back if I am travelling to Taichung city again.

The room was somewhat clean but very tiny that there’s no space for luggage, but overall good.
