I would strongly reconsider staying here based on my experience. There were multiple issues from start to finish, beginning with poor communication around key facilities. The spa was closed, which was not made clear when booking through a third-party site, and this significantly impacted the stay. Check-in was disorganised and extremely slow, given there were so few people checking in. The room key failed multiple times and had to be reprogrammed more than once, which is not what you expect on arrival. The room itself was uncomfortable. The lack of basic air conditioning during the warmer weather made it difficult to sleep, and the fan provided was ineffective. The hotel failed to prepare for basic weather conditions, which is a serious health and safety issue. The mattress was worn with large dips and should have been replaced quite some time ago, and there were issues with the shower fluctuating between hot and cold repeatedly, all of which point to poor maintenance and upkeep. Service was particularly disappointing. I had to come downstairs during the night to get assistance, which is unacceptable. Breakfast and dinner service were both well below expectations and showed a lack of basic attention to guests. Another frustrating issue, however, was how my car was handled when the hotel parked it. It was returned covered in bird droppings, with no attempt made to clean it. This has caused permanent damage to the paintwork on a car that is only two months old.

The room rate was very expensive for the size of the room £471 for 2 nights in a snug room (and that was discounted via Blue Light). Continental breakfast was included, and for an additional £10 you could upgrade to a cooked breakfast. We were happy with the Continental breakfast as there was plenty of choice, however for the cost of the room, we feel this should have been included. The spa wasn't avaliable during our stay, a voucher if requested was offered to use the sauna on the beach. We feel it would have been more beneficial to provide the discount on the room rate if facilities aren't available, however we do understand that the work to the spa has to take place at some point. The staff were exceptional, extremely friendly and polite. There was a good choice of drinks available at the bar, which were reasonably priced. We particularly enjoyed the Lemon Meringue cocktail! There was a good choice of options for room service, which we took advantage of. Overall a very pleasant stay, but we felt the cost didn't live up to the experience.

Room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and good facilities including coffee machine. Good choice and quality food at breakfast. Lovely to be able to sit out on the terrace with great views. All members of staff were professional, helpful and friendly. Would return.

Hotel is in great location, unfortunately the spa was out of use and we didn’t realise until after we had booked room. Breakfast is only continental, full breakfast no longer included, so room price is expensive. Staff hassle for payment for breakfast as soon as you ordered breakfast instead of asking you at check in and adding it to your billl, felt more like a budget hotel, paying premium prices.

We loved our stay at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel! The location on the water was beautiful, the staff (especially Phillip) was so welcoming and helpful, and the food was delicious. A charming place to spend our last couple of days in England. Thank you!

We booked a night at this hotel with a spa. The hotel contacted Expedia to explain the spa was under renovations and out of use. Expedia did not give me the message. The sole reason for booking this hotel was because of the spa. Expedia failed in passing on the information. The hotel upgraded us and did everything they could to make the stay very enjoyable but Expedia let me down and I would like a refund from Expedia

Sadly the pool and spa were not open. I was unaware of this when I booked and I was told it was somewhere on my online booking platform if I’d scrolled right down to the bottom. The pool and spa were the main reason I booked this hotel as it was a very special treat for my partner and myself.as we have recently been through stressful times recently and needed a break.

4* Hotel Harbour Hotel Christchurch. Lots of parking but be mindful that locals use this hotel for dining/spa which impacts on parking. Arrived late April and sadly room would be ready at 3pm ( usual check-in time). So bags remained in vehicle while we got our bearings with the hotel and an early lunch. I cannot fault the service with servers so attentive and friendly. Room 405 Thankfully they have a life/elevator. Very quaint and clean. Thé fabric headboard needs a steaming and mattress needs turning. There is a refrigerator with some items to purchase. There is a tray with glasses and decanter of GIN which is for room use…nice and a rare touch. Bathroom and sundries were pleasant. Breakfast Continental breakfast of cereals, fresh and preserved fruits with yoghurt and pasties. All expected with the option of a substantial cooked breakfast. No buffet breakfast thankfully - which I don’t like. Lunch Light lunch with a good selection of lite bites and a substantial bar. No local drinks? Dinner Thé hotel offers fine dining/ Al à carte and options package. Thé moules were excellent and my absolute favourite was the pork schnitzel. Check out 11am. And I hope to return. A pleasant stay. Thank you.

Another stay at a Harbour Hotel; we do enjoy their offering. Consistently providing great service and a pleasant stay. The Jetty at Christchurch Harbour Hotel served an excellent meal and service - highly recommend the Jetty.

Nice friendly hotel with beautiful seaside views from the terraces - would love to revisit in the summer when it’s warm enough to sit out to appreciate. Our cosy room had a view of the car park and although very well appointed, it was rather cramped but fine for a one night stay. Spa was closed for refurbishment. Breakfast room was rather dark due to covered terrace outside. We did enjoy the wide selection offered on the continental buffet, especially homemade banana bread and marmalade flapjack. Would recommend booking a sea view larger room for a more enjoyable stay.

Lovely quiet location, comfy room and great food. Bar staff very helpful. Building works going on at the hotel and next door so we were disturbed in the morning by lorries but this is not the fault of the hotel

Wonderful location and dining experience. The odd niggle including issue with elderly mothers room, requested walk in shower but on arrival given a room with bath. It was quickly sorted however. The room was fine for one night but the sash window was faulty and wouldn’t stay open. Overall highly recommended

Room immaculate. Staff ALL excellent helpful welcoming and highly professional. The spa is being renovated but we knew this when we booked. Bar is well appointed and well staffed. This Hotel is a gem and the food in both restaurants (hotel and Jetty) is exceptional albeit a little pricey but that is life when you want quality.
